Killing the server.
Ive noticed alot of regulars are getting fed up with some of the people that come in dont play the TG way even after you ask them a few times. Ive seen people TKing for AIR. Hording the heli pads with almost 8 people tryin to get in a 2 person chopper then they stay there like its vanilla all over again. People TKing eachother (on accedent is fine) but i was TKed atleast 6 times lastnight in one round. Any thoughts on how we could fix this? Anyone eles getting fed up?

Re: Killing the server.
This is always going to be a problem on a public server. The only way to clean it up is to report the problematic players to the admins. Threads like these are always popping up every so often, short from passwording the server; you won't find a perfect cure.

Hopefully you contacted an Admin.

Re: Killing the server.
I had a similar situation happen last week. I was intentionally TKed for a vehicle. I sent a message of "please to not do that" and when it happened a second time, I asked for an admin on TS, Khaerus and Mantis were on, I explained the problem and BAM, he was kicked with that reason. He came back for a second chance, did it again and BAM he was banned.
We always want new people to play on the server and value the TG way. When most people get a friendly notice of "please do not do that" with a polite explanation, they fit right in. For those that do not, the BF admins are ususally on or monitoring TS and will take it up with the player. If no admins are around and you see a chronic problem player, you may be able to refer to a BattleRecorder file for the admin team to view at a later time.
In many posts before, the admins have asked all of us to be friendly and help new players understand the rules, but if strong interaction is needed, let the admins handle it.

Re: Killing the server.
Oh yeah I always let an admin know mostly mantis and Khaerus but it seems like all the vanilla pub stars are shifting to POE. A good and bad thing at the same time. And the biggest issue I have is people not listning to CO and SL orders. Just run off and do whatever

Re: Killing the server.
I too have seen a lot more of this recently. Most of the time the admin notices the problem and deals with it. For the most part, the new players we are getting are rather kool and I am enjoying it for sure.

Re: Killing the server.
I would like to know what action is taken by the Admins....are these guys banned for life? if not they should be...I've seen it happen many times in PR...deliberate Team Killing for any type of vehicle...ban for life!...we don't need this type of player...I think it lowers the moral of our community.

Re: Killing the server.
Silent- you know the answer to this already, I hope. You've absolutely got to let the admins know. I'm on TS almost every night till 11pm EST or so, even when I'm not in-game, just as I usually have the admin monitor running. You've got PM's and the "Contact an Admin" forum too: Just note the time and who TKed you, and post in that forum or fire off the PM. BRs will get reviewed. Other options? Well, there's 2 admins in your IHS, too, aren't there?
With all those options open to you (or anyone) this is the first I've heard of any big problems last night, and that won't help get the problem solved.
As for action taken by the admins, generally we won't discuss disciplinary action taken against a certain player. I will say some bans may be lifted, and others won't be, depending on the severity involved, but again, that's generally not a topic of discussion for public forums.
Hope this helps.
Silent: PM me that info.

Re: Killing the server.
I think the best thing would be not to get uptight by it but rather be confident that the server rules are in place for a reason and kick, ban, or eliminate those who continue to violate the rules. Refuse to loosen the standards!

Re: Killing the server.
Khaerus thank you for your reply,
I am well aware that Admins are on the case, I thank you for your comment, as a supporting member of this community, not only through the money given to help keep this community alive, but also as a person concerned, that only mature players, Team players join our community, the punishment given to for deliberate team killers should be Banned, and as we are the guy's that support the servers, we should know if a guy has been banned, or not...Name and shame it works! I know from experience.

Re: Killing the server.
Oh yeah K i know about the admins hence the line about tellin you and mantis when theres a real prob that needs to be handeld right away. But its the way that the kids play that bothers me. Even after asking them to play as a team many of them dont listen. They give as roger that and do the opposite of what you told them. I have found that not playing untill there are a bunch of TGs in the server works well. Ask anvil what he thinks he will prolly say the same thing i did.

Re: Killing the server.
Definitely some players new to the TG servers. I've seen players placing claymores on friendly flags, I think unaware that we run with FF on. And complaining why the start time on maps is so long. Signs that they're use to a more nonTG-vanilla style of play.
I try to follow the route jb4 mentions and call them out by name with the issue in chat as a first warning for a bunny-hop or other things that make me think they need to learn the rules, additonally I'll usually let an admin know to keep an eye on them.
I also find some of them eager to team up with a TG-SL and work as a team although most aren't using ts, in-game voip or text chat. I wonder if some percentage of them are european players on when the server starts getting seeded and theres some communication barriers going on? Not sure if you could look at the server stats and tell where most of the players are connecting from at different parts of the day.

Re: Killing the server.
Embrace the new players, help them see the light and work as a team. Kids will be kids but they can be trained, at the worst they are usually good target practice
If it becomes a problem ask an admin to help. Its that simple.

Re: Killing the server.
Just consider yourself lucky that in PoE2 it tells you who killed you... in PR we have to type "Who just tk'd an engineer at South Village?" etc.
