Re: Modding the Mod - A Wednesday March 19th Special Event Night

In regards to H2H...hopefully you guys can see what I was going for there. In revolved around three things:

1. I wanted a map with a big air battle. That maps a natural fit.

2. I slimmed down the flag count to compensate for the extra vehicles. Dumping the flags closest to the mains were logical choices as they are rarely contested.

3. The two town flag setup was there to create a heavy continous battle inside the town. Since they are near the edges it is easy to take the flag on your side and hard to hold the one on the enemies side. Thus the map dynamics desires a frontline right down the middle of the town. So it certainly does not surprise me to hear you were getting pounded trying to hold the flag on the enemy side.

Na, that wasn't meant to be a commentary on the server side modding- the map ran well and I had a blast, so no worries there. I did fully expect to get hammered at the flag we held.

Those posts about H2H were just from my squad that night, making jokes about the VOIP/squad-chat banter we had going that round- The jokes primarily involved the fact that I specifically decided to hold the flag closest to the enemies in order to give the rest of our team an open door to cap and hold the 'easier' flags, which didn't happen. You know, the typical "Oh, poor us, I can't believe we've been fighting the whole German army the whole round and we can't cap ONE other flag!" routine, lol. That kind of thing. That, and I think my guys wanted to mutiny against me for keeping them there in that meat-grinder...

Fun squad > ground meat

Props Mantis, great time. I was laughing so hard at the end of Berezne when you were trying to shoot me with the Dingo as I hunkered behind that invincible log.
