Modding the Mod - A Wednesday March 19th Special Event Night
Ladies and Gentleman, I am happy to announce that TG will be having some poe2 modnights going forward. I don't have any fancy banners to entice you with but I assure you this will be a night not to miss for any poe2 regular. I will let a question and answer session do the rest of the talking.
So what is this all about?
- These are special nights where poe2 maps are modded to produce new experiences. This could include changing flag layouts, changing vehicle layouts, extreme 'battles' or messing with weapon and game properties. Some may be simple changes to alter a favorite map slightly while another may give a map an extreme makeover that yields a completely different experience. Whether you like vehicles or infantry there will be something for everyone. If you are a fan of poe2 you won't want to miss this!
Who can attend?
- Anyone can attend and hopefully we will have a packed server. There is nothing you need to do. Nothing to install. No password. Just join the server like normal and spread the word.
When?
- Wednesday March 19th - 9PM EST or whenever we reach 40+ players - whichever comes first! Regular conquest versions will be played until we reach 40 players. The earlier we reach 40 the earlier you get to try the new stuff!
This sounds great! When will the next one be?- For now these will be special event nights at an unknown frequency. The content for these nights take a good amount of time to develop. If this becomes popular and enough content is developed perhaps it could turn into a weekly event.
You sure this is gonna work?- THERE MAY BE ISSUES. Some maps could be more laggy than normal with increased vehicle count. There could be a bad spawnpoint or missed balance issue. Perhaps even something that causes a server crash. While everything has been tested as working this doesn't mean something could not go screwy when you add 62 players to the mix. Feel free to report these issues but remember this is all for fun and everything goes back to normal the next night.
More info! Can you give an example?
I will be teasing with screenshots until Wednesday.(one every day) For every lurking poe2 regular that registers for the forums and says they will attend I will post another screenshot.

This could be just the thing to get me back into it. I've missed everyone, but just haven't been in the mood recently to power up the BF2/POE, and bark orders on deaf ears. I'll mark the calendar, and try to represent.

It will be wild, and a good time. And anything that gets PB back in action, barking again... And anything that lets Ikonic try those darn drivers again (I still say your trouble was due to the general mayhem on the net that day- everyone had troubles!) And as for Axis- well, for the good of the server, of course.

I have an idea.. Can you mod the server so HiTest doesnt get killed so often.. or maybe make C4_SGT_YORK really big so i can kill him repeatedly??

Thats alot of tanks parked in the base... but until someone moves their plane off the street (?)
