You know, after scanning through this list, I didn't see ONE SINGLE AFFIRMATIVE FOR CO. I'm going to cut to the chase, and say out loud what is on several people's minds already, and if you don't like hearing it, too bad: Man, you guys really look like a bunch of wimps (No offense Wimp).
1. Doing the CO mechanics is not hard, and is not an excuse for anyone. Take the chair once or twice every night for the next few weeks and learn!
2. The only thing to stop anyone doing this is fear of failure. Excuse me, but this is a mature gamer's website. Maturity allows us to fail in an endeavor and not have our fragile egos crushed because we've gone through it before and we survived. GET OVER IT.
3. Your team needs you. Those who said "if necessary" etc. are the ones who always have to do it because no-one else will. That's taking advantage of their willingness to do something they really don't want to do yet again and it also takes some of the best players and SLs off the field to hunker in hiding so they can tell you to do what you probably already know. Don't make them do it again.
I know nothing about this FFTF clan, but I would be CO for a round if I could make it to this game. I did it last IHS scrim and it was fun, not hard, and hey: you're among friends. Relax! Someone put me in the CO chair and away we went, I didn't have to think up all the strategy, I just coordinated, spotted, informed, and dropped smoke and supplies. All you can do and all your teammates expect is that you do the best you can, nothing more, nothing less.
Is that any different from any other day on a TG server?
Every one of you should be willing, and all but a few should have a yes under their name when it come to being CO.
