PoE News #122
Welcome to our 122nd POE news update.
We would like to start by talking about some development in POE's Staff. First off, we would like to congratulate Michi.be for his win in the Crysis mapping contest for his map Borderline. Michi.be is leaving POE to continue his work in the Crysis Modding scene. We would like to thank him for his hard work for PoE and wish him the best of luck in the future.
Additionally we welcome a few new members to our team. Gab has joined us as a vehicle modeler and we already have him on his first project. Also joining the team is Dr. Destructo who's work you might have noticed posted in our forums. Dr. Destructo will be joining us as a mapper and static modeler.
Moving on to the fan map pack, we will be releasing it on Wednesday May 14th. The pack contains 7 fan made maps and PoE conversions of BF2 maps.

Wow, fan maps and "vanilla" maps. Yummy.

Re: PoE News #122
I love the idea of new POE2 maps but to be honest I am sick to death of the vanilla maps. Imagine my chagrin when GC plays AIX for the first time and what's the first map we play? Zatar. Go figure.

Re: PoE News #122
Very nice maps and I can't wait to play them. Also noted the BF2 maps at the bottom. If the Strike At Karkand is anything like the Karkand map from the AIX mod it'll be worth playing. They did such a good upgrade on the cosmetics on that map made it very enjoyable to play a "redux". Devs and the map builders are doing such a fantastic job keeping the flavor of combat going for us addicts. **kudos** to all of you.

Re: PoE News #122
Only the fan maps that were tweaked like Frankfurt are vanilla maps with PoE stuff on them. The others are just straight up ports with PoE equipment. The nice thing about them is it gives us more maps with rare equipment such as the Tomahawk etc. So now we got a whole slew of PoE2 USMC maps with the carrier and all that jazz as well as some Urban maps to hold us over until we can finish up this patch we are working on which will also have a ton of new and original maps.

Re: PoE News #122
Yea ours was made much more inf friendly. In fact the version that we released last time had a slightly smaller play area to focus more on the inf combat.
