Some Dome of Death changes now active
The admin staff have noted the dislike toward arty/mortars being hard to kill if it is inside the DOD radius. We have decided that nerfing the DOD on a few select maps will knock out this problem for the most part. So please note the following:
- Rolling Thunder: Dome of Death deleted on 32 and 64 versions. You should have no trouble knocking out the artillery now if they are inside the main.
- Dnister River Valley: Dome of Death deleted on 32 and 64 versions. You should have no trouble knocking out arty or mortars now if they are inside the main.
- Risen: Dome of Death deleted on 64 version. You should have no trouble knocking out mortars or snipers inside the GER main.
We feel the vast majority of complaints come from these three maps. Most other maps with arty do not have many issues as the arty typically has to drive out of the main to even be in range for targets. If there is another map that has a major problem then we will consider it but for now we feel this will knock out 95% of the complaints.
Please note this does not reflect a change in policy in any way toward our ucb camping rules. Our standard UCB rules will always apply. This change is simply there to allow you to knock out arty/mortars/snipers that often are shooting out of the main and were hard to get to before due to the DOD. This can potentially open up vehicle stealing and other ucb issues on these maps so we ask as always that you report any issues and help us keep our server up to standards.|TG-12th|mantis

As dirty mentionned in another post this will get very chaotic fast.
Example: Someone decide to spam artillery shells from the uncap. Someone is pissed and want to get even,grab a tank and decide to go get him. Upon reaching the UCB there are guys going for tanks, chopper lifting up and people running around. A firefight will erupt thats for sure and people gonna complain. The best way is to try to sneak around and only get the arty but I doubt that everyone will do that.

Please put the dod back where it was.I see alot of bad feelings.People stealing planes ,arty and such.Players c4 ing in ucbs

We'll be fine. This is three maps and our rules have not changed. We got through vanilla just fine where there were CO assets to destroy every map and no DOD's in play. If someone tries to steal a vehicle or ucb camp we will gladly enforce our ruleset.

Back in BF2 it was great fun to sneak into the enemy camp and destroy artillery. It is sad that we have people stealing armor and planes, but especially the spawn sniping.
