I am running 4 and do just fine. I suggest you bump it up to at least 2.

Re: How much RAM ya running?

Dirtboy did you start with 2GB and go with 4 GB? If so was there a significant difference in speed/perf? Just curious.

Re: How much RAM ya running?

128 MB here... things are a bit choppy If I play at 320x200 resolution and everything on low, I can get up to 5 FPS though, so it's cool.

Re: How much RAM ya running?

Heh... remember not so long ago (early nineties) when graphics like this wowed us? For those among us who were not part of the "good old days", that is what Doom, Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein looked like... and we LOVED it.

For the record, 4 GB physical, 3.25 GB is recognized by WXP. I dobnt know that I have gained much from the extra 2 but I have head room to spare, now.

Re: How much RAM ya running?

Wow rick I didn't know you could play BF2 on a Commadore 64. Try upgrading the tape drive to one of those new 5 inch floppys.

I've got 1GB and it seems to run kind of choppy in the first few minutes of the new maps then it smooths out or when I pop smoke. I think its my graphics card but I'm about as tech savy as Archie Bunker.

Re: How much RAM ya running?

1 gig on my old HP Pavillion. I've got no room to upgrade, also using a Athlon XP cpu. Have to run graphics at med and low, but the maps run fine for the most part. The new Berlin map crashes me though.

4 Gigs addressed at 3.25 on XP
RAM is one of the least expensive upgrades right now.

Re: How much RAM ya running?

4 gigs reported as ~3.6 (by task manager, accurate?)

no difference in going from 2-4 in POE

Whats a good way to kill lag caused by smoke?
