    Good game yesterday

Just wanted to run by and say that yesterdays Karkand map was epic. Ive never had so much fun, doing so little, on that stupid little map. Props go out to the poor fraker who got smushed by the supply drop, and our squads resident tanker.

Good games like these make it worth for me to wake up early in the morning ~5:30 AM, for a few hours game. I had a chat with some of my clannies/e-buddies and they are giving the mod/TG server a go today/tomorrow.

Hey, glad you had a good time, and welcome to the forums! It's always good to see some new faces. Take the time to browse around the forums, and to check out some of the links in my (missing!) sig to get a good idea what we're about here.

And lemme guess: resident tanker= Saitch?

    Re: Good game yesterday

I joined on at the end of Karkand later in the night. Very fun stuff.

However the highlight of the night was later - it was about 9 v 9 or so on Rivne. We were Germany assaulting, and managed to get all three flags under our own control, removing the UKR spawn and leaving a sole defender hiding. Of course it was...Mantis. We have an idea where he is, and it was literally like a bad horror movie - 8 or 9 guys slowly moving on the house where he's holed up when in chat we see "Come and get me". I swear everyone read that and paused for a sec, hesistantly.

Then we charged. He got two guys with claymores, but a couple well placed n00b t00bs found their way to his hidey hole.

    It was great. Good games.

I still had more claymores. Was keeping a Vintorez and anti material rifle alive with the plan to use all four claymores and then vintorez everyone else after that. Grrr @ beatnik

I thought he said "Come get some" which was even more of a challenging taunt. I was laughing all the way to the Mullet House thinking, oh boy what are we going to see now, this is going to be epic.

Karkland was great fun. I never spent so much time fighting under a train. It was like ant hill wars. The place kept crawling with infantry.

    Re: Good game yesterday

    That game was fairly decent.

I just feel I must express my extreme frustration at my inability to communicate with my squad. I saw mantis and crew incoming across the river to get the back flag back. So I delay them put attack markers on their position, spawn in delay them by myself some more, put a defend marker on the flag. Finally get my tanker to fall back only to hear him in voip say "oh there is only 2 of them", I spam NO SIR _ NO SIR _ NO SIR!!! He drives away and the rest of squad continues to run further away from the flag. This entire time I have been typing out "WHOLE SQUAD AT BACK FLAG DEFEND!" to no avail. Finally the tank is destroyed right before the flag goes neutral and they take it. Then later when we have them cornered I tell my squad that the next dead person needs to go get the tank but they not only don't follow that command but repeatedly revive me when I tell them not to. And our team charges headlong to their deaths. It was almost as if no one in my squad was reading the messages I was writing. I realize this is a huge rant, but expressing it makes me feel a little better and I hope that no one that was in my squad takes it as an insult. Lets just say that I will make sure that my voip is working from now on. It was just too much for me after the previous round on Crimea where my squad held the back flag when I gave the order to fall back to the flag and instead everyone charged the guy on top of the radar building. I mi9ght have to stick to using vehicles for a bit or at least not SLing.

I thought the Crimea round was more fun, wish it could have been played out, ~15 ticket difference?

    Re: Good game yesterday

Karkland was a blood bath if you were on the MEC side. We were pinned at the bridge/train flag for the last half of the round with no one able to break forward. The mood on our side was frustration to say the least. I finally snuck across to get the SL marked U.S. flag at the square, and after I turned it grey an enemy APC was all over me. Counter tried to assist me but the round ended ubrubtly - thank goodness.

Woodlands was again a fun map with our side finally getting a "W". Had a glitch when I spawned at the Greman Center Flag (name?). I spawned at the top of the concrete bunker but could not move. It was like my feet were stuck in the concrete! I tried to move in every direction, prone, crouch, jump, but nothing worked. Someone, I think Saitcho, saw me and came next to me and started jumping - as if to tell me to jump. I hit the jump button repeatedly for a while, why no enemy shot me is funny, until finally it let me go and I moved away to rejoin the fight and get knifed by Mullet:-( lol

In Rivne, Blood and I had a 2 man squad which traded shots and flags against El Maestro and jb4 at the powerstation until we were capped out save Mantis who was the sole surviver. Blood told me "if anyone can turn it - it's Mantis". Watching the deaths by him was funny and it was like time stood still for a while there. I think he let you guys off the hook and let you kill him...lol

Karkand rocked! It's on regular rotation I hope? Namebot I'm sorry, theres so much spam up that written messages come and go too quickly. You did well regardless, next time use voip! :-)
Woodlands was irritating as hell for the Ukraine side, we simply got our butts handed to us on that one. Rivne was fun, the battles at the powerstaion were crazy!
