Request re: AFKs/Spectators
With the current low player count, it really screws up the game to have several people spectating or being AFK on a team. Tonight we had several maps where one team had players "unassigned" the whole round. This isn't an issue when the server is full, but at 9 vs 9 it really hurts to be down 3 people.
So please, if you're going to be AFK for more than a few minutes, just disconnect so that the auto balance can do its magic and straighten things out a bit.|TG-12th| fallen

Re: Request re: AFKs/Spectators
Thats totally my fault. I left my computer to answer the phone and duh, forgot to disconnect. I came back a while later and i was still logged in..
I truly apologize if this caused any disturbance to your guys games..

Re: Request re: AFKs/Spectators
We can probably turn down the idle timer too so the server disconnects people sooner... I don't have BF2CC access at the moment, but I think it's really high... like 10 minutes or something.

Re: Request re: AFKs/Spectators
I think lowering the idle time will just hurt player number. AFK people seeding the server = people see a high player count and join. Rarely does it interupt a game and it always helps seed. Just my opinion.

Re: Request re: AFKs/Spectators
I've removed a few AFK SLs and a few more idle SMs in the past couple of nights, so I have been seeing it. And honestly, I don't see a 10-minute idler as being more useful to seeding purposes than a 4 or 5 minute idler. I see where you're coming from though, Ghalas, and we'll keep a close eye on the effects of the timer change and adjust it if necessary.
