POE2 News #127

Welcome back to another POE news update! We will keep this one short and sweet. We are proud to announce the release of our server files for POE 2.5. We encourage servers to install this full server build and to identify their servers as running 2.5.

Click on the image below to download the server files for POE2 v2.5

The final new map making it into 2.5 is by Greasy Mullet called Aces High. The map is a joint US/German level which features a large scale air battle as well as a ground game to control the island with AA. Only the team with both a strong airforce and infantry support will be victorious. Combined arms coordination here is the key.

Our singleplayer team has done an enormous amount of work on this release with seven new singleplayer maps coming on line in this release. Coldfussion put together this little film of him having a little fun with his bot coworkers, enjoy.

Oh man... got my Download finger all warmed up and ready to go!!

edit: may have to dig out my joystick and learn to fly jets again!!

I am looking forward to pubbing it too. For those of us that enjoy flying but are not the best at it, this gives us a chance in the air since we will not be the ONLY target going 1 on 1 with a person who chances are is a lot better than you.

How will this work with the TG server's 'don't attack the boat' rule? Will it be somthing like the DDX is OK but the carriers are not?

Seeing as how on Berezan you can attack the Tomahawk, attacking the DDX should not be a problem.

Man, this is coming out at a terrible time for me. We're moving in with my Mom until we can buy a house in Tucson and my PC will be hooked up to the internet wirelessly.

groovy. it doesn't really matter to me what the policy is, because I'll be in one of the anti-air guns. But I'm sure it won't take long for the a text chat argument to break out
