Re: Tank Bug
Not being able to watch the trajectory of the drop has put me back at new tanker status after becoming quite good at Anti-heli shots. On Berezan Island, I tried all three shot types on a very slow-hovering Hind and got only one hit: the Sabot of course, with no kill.
Canister definitely does nasty damage on infantry, but the HEAP round is the one I'm having consistent problems with--no hit indicators, even at point blank, and with both UKR and GER tanks having no hit indicator even when very close, i.e. trajectory not a factor. Definitely more probs with UKR tanks in general.
Has anyone had their tank auto-revert to Sabot after setting int to fire HEAP? There has been 3-4 times already when this happened, which I've never had happen before. I suppose I could have suddenly started flicking my mousewheel without noticing, or forgetting I switched to Sabot...but I don't think it's likely. I've never had any problem with that before.
I find the Oplot a bit easier to aim with if I imaging the shell going to the point of the arrow or a few pixels above, at close-to-mid-range. At longer ranges, adjusting for a bit more drop than I have in the past seems to be working about 70% or more of the time, i.e I use the line or just below to adjust for drop.
Do the different rounds have different mass? In other words, do they have a different ballistic path?

Re: Tank Bug
So how do I train with the new tank gun if I can't see where it hits ?
I'm still trying to figure out how to aim the fool thing.
Is it just me or are infantry harder to kill with the machine gun and HEAT round with the new patch?

Re: Tank Bug
I'm going to watch my gameplay on Madador during my lunchbreak today. Figure out where my shots are going. I had alot better hits last night at long distance, but I had to put the crosshair just on top of the opposing tank.

Re: Tank Bug
Axis my experience tells me that unless something was changed in the last patch both rounds have the same flight path.

Re: Tank Bug
That big puff of smokes may look nice but its very annoying because you cant follow long range shell trajectory with ease making adjusting your shot harder. New huds looks cool but will take some time to adjust.

Re: Tank Bug
I don't think that some of the impacts on my tank were even alerting that I was being fired upon. I caught my tanks health bar going down and there was no indication at all that I was being fired upon, no sound, no blur, no shake, no HUD indication. This is only occurring in the tanks and mainly from side and rear shots and I say that because i'm not seeing any indication of an incoming round in my hud view.
