Is it me or PB?
so I am getting kicked from the TG server for the PB handshaking error, (it does not happen on other servers I have tried so far) I have followed the instructions left in the Goat help thread, (thanks Goat!) but that's only worked the one time. Is it me (should I re-install BF2 and POE) or is it PB acting up? I just find it weird that the error only comes up on the TG server.
TG is the only server realy worth playing in my mind. The only way I know to stay alive in POE is to hook up to the TG guys and folow instructions...you should have seen my death count on the German server on Sunday night...I might have set some new records, and that's not a good thing. Help? anyone?

I got that error last night.
I hit the punkbuster web site and downloaded the 2 "update" files and dropped them in place ../pb/htm folder, and it fixed it.
I think Goat said on TS that he did a full reinstall.. *shrug* I'll check mine again this evening and let you know if I see the same thing again.Park Bench

thanks Thagoat, I did that early last night and it worked great. I then had to disconnect but logged back on later. When I did I got the handshaking error again...frustrating. I just don't want to be going through this everytime I go on.

I found another problem...the handshaking error for PnkBuster B is giving me the blues. I saw some info on firewall exceptions and checked mine. I turned my firewall off on the router since i'm already running a firewall on my machine. That seems to work alot better, I was able to get into game alot easier with less punk buster kicks. I hope Even Balance fixes these issues soon. I've already been seeing gossip about Punk Buster being used in Battlefield Heros and in Battlefield 3.

I had the errors again last night, repeated my "fix" form the night before. I downloaded the 2 text / htm files and dropped them in place and was good to go. I really hope they fix this soon as well. Goat, wanna PM me with the firewall stuff you changed at your router? I only run router firewalls (not on individual machines), and I DO need to keep one of them up.
Wife is on my network too. facebook / myspace fiend that she is.
