Re: Do's and Don'ts - how not to die so much
DO: Run parallel to the enemy firing at you.
DON'T: Run straight towards or away from him!

When your running low on supplies and there is no support or crate nearby, grab a kit from those that have fallen. "G" key by default.

Re: Do's and Don'ts - how not to die so much
DON'T: Place mines in or around the your UCB. It will do nothing but cause TK's and
bottlenecks with vehicles unable to move.
DO: Communicate with your squad. This can be one of the most important you can do to stay alive.

Re: Do's and Don'ts - how not to die so much
DO when flying in a 2 person aircraft join the squad with the pilot/gunner so you can communicate.
DONT take the aircraft by yourself and leave people on the airfield yelling "HEY gimme a ride".
DO look forward in the gunner seat if traveling fast as your chances of hitting something off to the sides is low and your pilot will try to line up targets in front of the craft.
DO offer to repair friendly vehicles if they need it.
DONT drive directly behind a friendly vehicle in combat, this prevents it from retreating.
DO watch out for mines, friendly ones are easier to spot because they have red Xs over them. If you aren't sure if it is a mine or C4 or a claymore just avoid it.
DONT punish someone for running over their mine. It doesn't help your team.|TG-12th| Namebot

Re: Do's and Don'ts - how not to die so much
This is one of the greatest "truths" about POE. 5-6 guys in the flag radius all at once will turn a flag all the way within 10-12 seconds.
A few random stragglers may take 30 + seconds. An entire squad can run from Crash to Trenches on a map like Fallen in that amount of time.
Another Do: Pay attention to the maps you play to learn where you can be to stay in the flag radius vs out of the radius. (watch the flag indicator that will pop up)
If you are defending and attack, staying in the radius will slow the change and give you time to adjust and defend.
This is especially important if your SL goes down and may buy you the time to revive them or have them spawn back in before the flag turns.|TG-12th| jb4

If your team loses all their flags:
DO attempt to turn a flag IMMEDIATELY, the longer you take the less chance you will have.
DONT hide and think that they won't find you, someone will being going commander shortly if they don't already have one.|TG-12th| Namebot

Re: Do's and Don'ts - how not to die so much
Here's an example from last night of two previously mentioned Don'ts:
- Don't: Revive someone, especially your SL, until you've cleared the attacker(s) that killed him.
- Don't: Spawn on the SL and stay grouped up.
- Do: Have patience attacking/defending and keep an eye on the dead bodies you just killed.
As seen in the pic; I first shot CtyZ3N then, as I reloaded behind a nearby wall, his medic came and revived him and within a second their squad members spawned on him and stayed in a hudle long enough for me to easily pic them off and get an eventual flag capture
Smoke may have helped their situation, but I usually throw a granade or two if I can't see who's in the haze.
Those simple mistakes makes me look better than I really am

Re: Do's and Don'ts - how not to die so much
DO-Pick up a medic bag and rev your medic or team mates
Lead by example
Listen to your Squad Leader
The best you can do squad leading, practice makes perfect, or damn near it.
Give squad directions (York I know you got mad at me last week, sorry buddy)
Name your squad the flag you are heading for- This will help other squads.
Respect the 71st and the admins
DON'T-Ask questions about a goal you may understand
Constantly spam the channel
Go sniper all the time and wander off
Gripe and complain and get into little tiffs, it's a game, have fun
TK over anything on purpose, this =s bad news
