Punkbuster handshaking kick any ideas?
Hi,
I know this may not be the right place for a technical problem but I allways get great advice here and I am going into withdrwall......I am out of action here.
I have been good until tonight and have rebooted my machine but have repeatedly got the Punkbuster handshaking boot. Is there anything I can do?

What Operating System?
Did you uninstall/reinstall PB?
ThaGoat posted some stuff a few posts down.
I use the PB Setup function. It seems to work the best.|TG-12th| jb4

XP I don't know anything about Punkbuster what it is what it does or where its at on my drive. I will look at Goats thread thanks JB

yeah, I had the same probs and DL'd the .htm file to my bf2/pb folder and it fixed it!

Heres how to fix the issue
Go to Program Files
EA Games
BF2
In the folder you will se a folder named "pb"
delete this folder
Now download the PBsetup Program
Run through adding BF2 and updating the PB files.
Now check that you have the "pb" folder back in your BF2 folder.
Restart
Frag away
Somethng for Everyone

If you still have problems after trying the step above, go to your control panel and use the "add/remove programs" function to uninstall PB from there and then reinstall it using the PB Setup. I keep a shortcut to the PB Setup on my desktop and just routinely run it about once a week just in case.
