Friday rocked!! (8/16)

Man what a night!! I came in on Aces High, which was followed by four amazing rounds: Lutsk, Kharkiv, Rolling Thunder, and Fallen.

About 2/3's of the way through Lutsk, we (GER) were down by over 100 tickets, but then started to make a comeback. I went Commander at this point figuring we needed to use bleed to our advantage, and team-chat messages didn't seem to be slowing a couple squads in their attacks. I don't remember what the final score was, but it was CLOSE.

On Kharkiv, project started a 12th squad, but then disappeared (boss not happy?) and I won SL-roulette Fortunately, the squad was ridiculously good and we ran a pretty good round. I played UKR specops most of the round and had way too much fun with the AS-Val. We bounced around a bit and at one time or another ended up fighting at all 5 of the flags. At one point we were down to just construction, and then our squad made a nice quiet flanking run to infiltrate and take back docks. The last 10 minutes of the round had an insane firefight going on between Druha Apartments and Docks... must have revived 20 players in the last 4-5 minutes.

JB4, looks like you had way too much fun tonight too - 100 teamwork points?? Damn grandpa, you got stock in Duracell or what?!

Up next was Rolling Thunder, and after my pleasant taste of Commanding earlier, I decided to do this one up too. There were a few mixed messages, but all in all we held according to plan. Draeh's squad, Sq4 held fast at bridge for the entire round. =WPG= TheFisherManGRC was squad 2, my artillery support and was awesome. When the UKR tanks clustered, I'd drop a waypoint for him and he'd hit it within a couple walk-on shots. Not sure who was in the Eurocopter, but they were also quite responsive.

With 11 seconds left, we switch to Plan B:

Then on Fallen, looking for a change of pace, I ran a three-man "medics2go" squad with Lokka and MajorScrewUp. The idea of the M2G squad is that you all go medic and just wandered around to the hot-spots, trying to augment 6-man squads... turn them into 9 man squads basically. In this round it really payed off since Squad2 (not sure who was leading) didn't have any medics for most of the round. Sooo we ended up following the (2) around the map quite a bit. Damn... what an exhausting round - there was one firefight by South Cabin that must have been 10 minutes.

GREAT games guys!

Thanks Whiskey for going CO on Lutsk in the final 10 minutes or so it made the difference. You text chatted "We have them on Bleed.. Lets Defend!". Next i heard over voip, "Whats bleed?" So i know we educated someone.
As for Kharkiv, that was me you revived twenty times.

Re: Friday rocked!! (8/16)

Good rounds last night yes.

Lutsk, I ran an Air defence squad with just me in the Gepard. Swatted the frogfoot at least 8 times and started collecting people towards the end of the round which I then directed to hold village, we won that round by around 11 tickets.

Rolling Thunder was good fun, I flew the Eurotiger with Turkish in the gunner seat, we pretty much nailed any enemies that ventured east of bridge with me taking care of tanks and Turkish hosing infantry with the cannon.

Fallen was a bit messy with the squad positioning with big holes in our defence at least 50% of the time, I was in elmeistro's squad for this one.

In the age or all this new-fangled technology I have moved on to pure titanium dioxide rechargeable to keep up with my pacemaker. That was only a dream when I used to walk 50 miles to school every day in the snow. I like playing games on my light box.

Many fun games last night. One of my favorites was Fallen because I was in Ishotcha1's squad and played medic with CounterOps. We were groovin' with the shock paddles and having a great time trying to beat each other to the cries for meds. That round is also memorable for me because I had the privilege of getting shock-paddled by my medic hero, Sawviper. In the chaos at the heli at Crash I was reviving and missed zapping someone next to him and then bzzzzzt, man down. I will proudly wear that scar for a long time. Great games, had fun.

because A) I was in a three man medic squad and wasn't bogged down with frivolous things... you know, like capping CP's or defending and B) that's probably the highest scoring round I've ever had

Re: Friday rocked!! (8/16)

Too bad last night atleast to me was terrible. On one map metatoplis(spelling?) my side had more than half were snipers. And this is a tank map. Those snipers bullets really scratch the paint on those tanks!.Then on fallen it seem like nobody except the squad i was in wanted to defend any of the flags. It might have been just a bad night for me.

What a slaughter that was. We had 26 people attacking Crash Site all at once.
