And the most important for me, who gets to fly?

I was thinking about signing up as a pilot because with my european ping im not really good in infantry combat. If i couldn't be in some flying thing i would still play though, im very interested to see tg gameplay at it's best.
Depends a little bit on the scrim and the organizers. Usually the organizers or team leaders sort/take turns picking the people signed up into as balanced teams as possible based on what is known about the players and their preferred roles. You want to try to avoid one side slaughtering the other in the air for instance.

The maps chosen this time don't have a lot of air resources, but you can still sign up and request being a pilot. A commander *cough* volunteers *cough* for each map and I think the CO will ultimately decide on who he wants to fly based on what he's trying to accomplish that map.

I too would encourage everyone that would like to see how high gameplay can escalate when CO's and plans are made. Hopefully soon teams will be set and planning sessions can start. Then kits and roles can be decided by the CO's and SL's.

We have some really good rounds on POE during the week, those however pale greatly against even the worst scrim.

Re: Scrim signups open!!

Bump! I'm working on pulling in a few players. Lets see a big push tonight within squads to grab some more participants. The sooner we do this the better the scrim will go.

I am confident this could easily be achieved by targeting server regulars you don't see on our forums much. There are a lot of them out there and I'm sure quite a few would be interested if they knew about this event. A few simple questions such as following will go a long way. "Hey X are you signed up for the scrim for Sept 14th?" or "Mr X, did you know TG is having a community scrim on the 14th? You should signup, it should be a ton of fun!" This in turn will drive more regulars to our forum which helps build the community in the long run.

Re: Scrim signups open!!

I'd also like to encourage anyone who has not tried a TG scrim to jump in on this one. It's really a blast. More planning goes into the matches and the intensity is way up. These scrims are top of the line play, and like Project said in the beginning of the thread, you won't forget the rounds you play in a TG scrim.

I played a couple external scrims where TG whooped a$$ really bad. This scrim is TG vs. TG so I expect a very competitive match.

There are still 6 days to prepare, sign up and let's roll! DO IT!

Re: Scrim signups open!!

Good question, if you're not 100% sure whether you can make it, please sign up anyway and indicate you want to be a reserve and then just show up for roll call. There are always openings for reserves during the scrim.

Re: Scrim signups open!!

More signups welcome, just because roster is full does not mean you won't play if you sign up at this late stage, there are always people who don't show on game day and spots need o be filled at the last minute.

Re: Scrim signups open!!

If anyone has the ability it would probably be cool to broadcast the scrim through xfire live video.

http://www.xfire.com/faq/#FAQ_category_32

*and if there is a way to record the streams off the broadcast website even better
