G36k

Alright now overall I like the German guns. The US guns are my favorite overall, but I like the German guns, I do well with the German guns. Except the medic kit. If I am playing medic on German side my first priority is picking up an AK. I cannot make it work for the life of me. Now, I like the G36, and I absolutely love the G36C, and I love the MG-36. So why is the stumpy cousin of these guns just trash in my hands?

I keep my weapon on singlefire, and I only switch to auto when entering CQB. I crouch or prone when able, and yet it takes ten or fifteen shots sometimes to get a kill. I know the medic guns are not for going toe to toe with Assault or Support or Engi at close range. I know that this is a feature of POE, that the medic is not an uberclass. Except I'm talking about mid range shots of 50 meters or less, with surprise on my side and prone single shots. Give me an AK and hes down in five shots or so. Give me a K and its gonna take twice or more, because I can't figure it out. So am I playing it wrong? Am I using it in the wrong situations? How do you get the best out of the G36K?

Re: G36k

It does seem a tad too nerfed in this version. Still plenty usable but I notice more missed single shots at medium distance missing than should be occuring imo.

Britt, if it makes you feel better, I'd rather use any gun than the AK-74. That gun drives me nuts, 'cause I see guys tearing it up with the thing, and I can't. On the other hand, I think the 36K is a great rifle. I'll also say it seems to be less deadly at range nowadays, though.

LOL, yeah a little bit. Except seeing you reminds me of Fallen tonight, when four perfect headshots from ten feet failed to kill you as you moved into Trenches. You didn't even turn around, just kept right on going. I picked up an AK shortly after and started killing. Then I died and switched to Engi and AP.

BTW, I think I'm the only person who prefers the UKR shotgun over the Benelli. Maybe I'm just old fashioned but I think the TOZ is great.

Quite a lot actually. When I feel I have better long range accuracy with a UKR weapon than a german weapon then something is not right. I've always seen german weapons having the advantage of accuracy and distance(why germany typically wins spies) and ukr weapons as more up close power based.

I think alot of this comes down to your experience of handling each weapon. I personally cannot use the AK at all. The G36K does an ok job. I've found that i'm more accurate with the VAL. I can "juke" to either side of someone and still be very accurate with it.

Part of the game "IMO" evolves on what your comfortable with and experienced with.

Goat has pretty got the answer for ya. I have no problem handling a G36k, in fact its one of my favorite weapons. Ive played with weapon about a 100 times. Well the G36 can be inaccurate at somes, but some of it propbably has to do with your experience. Or it could lag.

I'm proficient with all of the medic guns, but I generally prefer the m16 and aks74. The ak is more about double taps than full auto or semi. I prefer keeping it on full auto and just using short taps even if im doing CQB.
