    Share your BF2 settings.

    After viewing even more battlerecorder files tonight, it is pretty obvious that I am not seeing what others are seeing. I am hoping that people will be willing to list their settings so we might be able to help each other play as good as possible. Here are my settings:

    TerrainQuality 2
    GeometryQuality 2
    LightingQuality 2
    DynamicLightingQuality 0
    DynamicShadowsQuality 0
    EffectsQuality 2
    TextureQuality 3
    TextureFilteringQuality 2
    800x600@60Hz
    VideoSettings.setAntialiasing Off
    ViewDistanceScale 1
    VideoOptionScheme 3

    My shortcut to start the game is "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1.15+widescreen 1 +modPath mods/poe2 +ignoreAsserts 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050 which is supposed to start the game in widescreen...

    I hope this helps other people.

    If you have dynamic lighting off then you won't see muzzle flashes, this is essential on darker maps and helps find the snipers much easily.

    Its easy... set everything to low... (don't need the pretty fufu)
    with the exception of GEOMETRY, set that to high and set your viewing distance to 100%.

    You'll be able to see tanks on Matador and Snake Eyes on the horizon....

    p.s. how do you pump your resolution even higher mine only goes to 1280X1024...

    I just have everything on high with 8x AA at 1280x1024, that's with a 8800GTS 320MB for the record.

    hmm so this is how you ****ers see so much, does it also take away grass and fog?? Gonna have to try that.

    I have everything maxed except AA..that I have off..at 1440x900

    Cotton put this in your shortcut to Poe on ur desktop except sub 1440 x 900 for your desired resolution.

    I think that is wrong...I found a wiki someplace that says to do it like this:

    "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1.15+widescreen 1 +modPath mods/poe2 +ignoreAsserts 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

    except you change the 1680 and 1050 to the resolution of your monitor.

    hmm thanks for catching that..Ill give that a try instead, putting widescreen would make since because I am trying to force it to a widescreen res...not full screen. :/
