ranked or not... : ) Frontlines kills any thoughts I was getting better at this game.

I can't say that was fun... I lasted a map and a half.

Re: Frontline madness this Wednesday!

Frontline works on some maps. On fallen it clearly dont , map is too open and its too easy to end up in cascade caps. Assets heavy maps also arent that great because its too easy for one team to get the asset superiority leading to a one way battle. Spy like us was fun, olesko keep also.

Re: Frontline madness this Wednesday!

Fallen can work well but obviously that round one team was lacking somewhere.

Mostly a fun night I thought. Some rounds were great...others a bit dull. Teamwork and coordination was lacking at times. As usual I had the most fun when players got aggressive and a squad actually moved together to push. Odessa and Orel in particular I enjoyed late in the evening.

Re: Frontline madness this Wednesday!

I had a blast, thanks for putting that together Mantis. I thought Fallen has potential, it's a challenging layout. Spies was great, and I think H2H is the perfect map for frontline.

This mode requires teamwork - the rounds our team lost we had maybe one real squad and a couple of one and two man squads. We got spanked on Orel, we just couldn't get a flag, but turns out Park had a devious strategy.

SIGH, I missed out. Real life Dad Mode. Honey do's, ensuring homework was done. Running about the house screaming like a "Banshee" to ensure my proper placement at the top of the food chain. Watching boring news shows to piss my wife off cuz she's missing her "reality" shows (muhahah). Some days I just gotta stoke my own ego...

Re: Frontline madness this Wednesday!

I think the concept is interesting. With a fully loaded TG contingent... It would've been way more fun / successful.

on spies, the snake route really made it tough to advance, once you lost a bit. I'm not saying it wasn't well played by the opponent team. that was a great job.

there was no sneaking anywhere... 12 guys running up a snowy hill... once launch site was lost... our team went sniper to try and clear a path up said hill. but it felt like everyone went sniper at the same time.

if the map was opened up a bit, so a sneaky squad could flank abit... I don't know... keep the flag capture order the same, but open things up a bit. that might be interesting. force a team to defend each flag a bit, as they advance.. thoughts?

Project - Orel was previous to the frontline mode. : ) but that was great. sorry it worked out that we got a foot hold. and I had a kindred spirit spotting on the west road side... and not just shooting first. and you had a squad that was following you. : ) I'd spot you out, throw up some "?", and then Shotcha would slide east or west depending on the attack point.

the rest of our squad fortified church, shooting at "?", and leaving scraps for the DEF back yard squad to clean up.

Had fun.
Stayed up way too late.
Wish it was massive/30 v 30, but my SL ran a tight ship and we did well.

Re: Frontline madness this Wednesday!

Had a good time, but would like to see a few changes:

1) BLEED. Right now, once you get the center flag, you're in the drivers seat - your whole team can defend one flag FTW. It's made even worse when some of the center flags are really hard to cap and easy to defend (like AA nest on Dnipro). I'd like to either see slower bleed rates or a different equation...

2) Which flag do we attack/defend? I don't know how to fix this, but it get's really confusing sometimes... especially on fallen. I think the biggest problem is that some neutral flags are flags you already own, while others are 'to-be-attacked'. I think it would be a lot less confusing if CP's flew the flags of their owners... Then you'd know to attack the first enemy or neutral flag you see... the neutral flag will only be at the frontline... and you'll then immediately know where to go next. (I guess it would also take some extra coding to control vehicle spawning, but I think it'd be pretty simple if/else stuff). On fallen, there was a situation where there were two neutral flags between the GER and UKR flags, and then other 3 other neutral scattered around... it was REALLY confusing figuring out WTH to do

There were some fun rounds late night. The 6 vs 6 on Olesko Keep had me yawning all day but it was definitely worth it.

Re: Frontline madness this Wednesday!

Whats also confusing is when you hear "your flag has been taken" or some similar message, you think your flag got capped but you actually got one step foward so thats also confusing. There should not be any bleed nor tickets so the only goal is to have the most flags at the end of the round to determine the winning team encouraging offence versus defence.
