LOL,,jb,,I know..*sigh* I was going to bring my defibrillator too for backup.
I'm bringing my quad and we all know what happened last time I was on it. I broke my elbow!! I'm going to try to be more careful this time. I guess I still think that I'm in my early twenties. LOL!

Hey Ops I use to live in Vegas, what area do you hunt (Ely or Elko area or out of state in Utah)? Hope you have an enjoyable trip and get to bag that buck behind you!

Re: COUNTER=OPS on Hiatus,,,
The neighborhood kids just got to watch my next-dor neighbor dress out a nice mature 4-point (or is it 8-point? can never remember how that works...) on his front lawn--he bagged it on opening day! He was glad, but kind of bummed it was over so soon...first time any of the kids had seen something like that!
One or two had to run for a bush
, but my 10 yr. old was fascinated.

Re: COUNTER=OPS on Hiatus,,,
Sweet. I just got an awesome bow from a friend, so I'll be out there.

Count ALL the points. ( ie. 4 on each rack = 8 pointer )

Re: COUNTER=OPS on Hiatus,,,
When I was much younger, a neighbor had a good business butchering deer this time of year. I can remember sitting there for hours / days as a buddy of mine did skinning. for like $5 a deer.

Re: COUNTER=OPS on Hiatus,,,
Thanks for the membership to PETA~~!!
PETA stands for People Eating Tasty Animals
I'm back!! We filled 2 of 3 tags. A 6 pointer and a non-typical 7 pointer.
To answer Gunnie's question,,,I hunted Elko area,,North at the Ruby Mountains. Close to the game reserve.
ParkBench...Las Vegas is a sportsman's pair-o-dice. Get it?! LOL! I crack myself up! Really though,,,there is hunting here year round. We have Mountain Lion, Bobcat, Coyote, Deer, Elk, Chucker, Grouse, Duck, Goose, etc...Predator hunting is a real challenge. We also have creek fishing for trout. You name it, we probably have it. It's not just a desert here.
