On a map such as Highway to (BEEP) it is even acceptable to have one sniper? I went commander once and just had the whole team not go sniper, I would report for disobeying CO orders. Is that an acceptable tactic for that map. I figured its such a big armor map and plane map...

    Re: Friendly reminder

I can not think of any map where a Sniper has no role at all. H2H even has room for them. While I almost never go sniper, if there was a CO and he/she "banned" snipers from the team it would really upset me to the point that chances are I would switch teams or sit out that round.

Snipers have a place in this game. The fact that it is sooo discouraged to go as a sniper really concerns me and heaven forbid if one evening I actually would like to use the sniper kit because I know how "looked down" upon it would be.

I think instead of being so hard on the people that want to go sniper, we should encourage them that want to do so to work as a team. As a squad leader explain to them your goals and ask them how they can help the squad meet those goals on that map with the kit they are requesting. Let them think about it and if they really try to help and fail, then at least they might learn something and walk away from the situation not feeling like they were bullied and then see the light.

So in short, I think SL's need to find more ways to include these types of players bringing them into the TG fold instead of just pushing them away because some do not like their style. With my mic working now, I will try and be one of those SL's.

I hope you do the same to medics or assault kit users who end up with a 1:4 k/d ratio and 5 teamwork points, just to be consistent.
