Re: PoE now
10pm EST and no one is on the server.
Let's have good numbers tomorrow, if not I think it's time to get out the PR shovels and bury it.

The patient is terminally ill and death is imminent

Joking aside, it looks like it dying Jim.
I'm sorry i missed the glory days of PoE. I remember when i started out at TG, the servers were full back then. I should have played it more then.

Re: PoE now
if friday is any indication... things are certainly not well... @ 10pm EST TS channel was me alone talking to myself again.
rounds disintegrating into sniper fests 2 hours for me clocked... and I have to say. only 1 truly fun round... where I was sekking out the UKR 3 man squad of test, cyco, and gahlas. trying to shoot just one of them, then waiting for the other 2 to show up.
glad pitchers and catchers reported today thats all I can say.Park Bench

Re: PoE now
Good games over the years; it's been lots of fun with a lot of great people. Hopefully we can organize some battles every other week or maybe breathe some life into the vanilla server.

Re: PoE now
I think Gahlas might be onto something. arranged events. or a once a week / every two weeks sort of thing.
I tried to stay in and seed, and play last night. I just hit my limit @ 10.
at first I thought y'all bailed on the TS channel, and were laughing cause you left me in there all alone...
We had enough TG regs to almost fill an uber-squad on each side... almost...
it was 9 v 9 for most of the 2 hours I was on.
That being said... I keep popping on when I can. Its been a good run.
I don't mean to eulogize, before they pull the plug, but I wanted to say this to those that visit the forums.
16 months ago, I bought BF2, and installed POE. I never thought I'd play a game like it. I used to play quake arena and was never good enough at it, and hated getting pwned all the time. TG / POE gave me an opportunity to meet some good folks, slowly get better, at the play, and play in manner that I liked best. Early on, I did alot of carrying the bullets, and carrying a med kit for someone else to use to revive me, and it was never a problem. I hope I made some people laugh, cause I've laughed alot. I'm not quitting yet, but... I'll be on even less.. I'm sure, things have regressed to quake arena with armor... I can't see myself digging virtual dirt, so... 1943?? BC 2 is 1 year off.
to the Devs of POE. heroes! I never played vanilla, and only dabbled with PR, FH2, Pirates and a couple others. and yet its safe to say without your MOD, I'd probably never play BF2 this long. Thanks so much for your time, and work.
until next time,
