Re: Tgif
Maybe if you write a Haiku the ban will be lifted.

Re: Tgif
Shotcha, there are a few more people I might ban as well, then I could have enough peace and quiet to drink my beer during the rounds......instead of crying "medic" all the time.
As I posted over on the Vanilla thread, I am doubtful we can revive our Vanilla server and keep it populated without a push from most of us who play POE. Maybe if we all got on everyday at 5:00 and stayed on until there were 50+ for a couple of weeks it would work.....
Personally I would rather play POE and add some of the folks that were on the Vanilla server a couple of weeks back.
Anyway as Project says, it is Friday, let's have a big turnout (Tuesday was fun) and watch out for the curving bullets on Fallen.

Re: Tgif
What a shame.
Yea for my KDR !
Haiku would be nice but neg on the ban lift
Completely agreed, it would be nice to have a self sufficent populating Vanilla server ESPECIALLY if it led to more PoE2 recruits. I've been a BF addict since 42 and from my experience, a server obviously needs to be seeded AND have enough players playing into the wee hours of the morning to entice the european players that are just hitting their peak play times, to keep it going 24/7. It's extremely tough with the age of BF2 and as Homedog mentioned, the patch may have brought a few back to test it out and then they went back to their usual games.
I'm in for helping in any way I can. I love this community and it truely is playing the way "it was meant to be played". A few years ago I co-founded a clan that was based on friendship and "good guys", my dreams were to do exactly what TG has done (mature, like minded, teambased players and even thought that a "school" to teach others tactics would be an excellent idea, low and behold here it is at TG). Unfortunatley, the other co-founder was based on winning at all costs and it lead to a lot of hard feelings amongst the original founding members and eventually the demise. I would bet there are still quite a few hardcore BFers out there that are seeking the TG experience.
If we were to attempt to get the Vanilla going, we definantly need to split up and squad lead, make sure there is a decent commander, follow the old school rules of getting players welcomed to the squad, encouraging the use of VOIP, getting them comfortable communicating and working in a team based atmosphere. The camaraderie is what I believe will help to hook like minded players to keep comming back.MANUS HAEC INIMICA TYRANNIS

Re: Tgif
Great games last night fellas, if not a bit one sided towards the end. We had I think maybe 20 people in the server which is sad to see, but I haven't had some good infantry fighting in a long time so I enjoyed it.
I check the TG BF2 vanilla server when ever I can, sadly its rarely populated but if you all want some help I can try and make it. School dictates when and how long I can game so I can't make any time promises.

Re: Tgif
would be awesome to see co-op modes running again when the servers have zero players...monday wednesday and thursday maybe?
also people that dropped in on the bf2 server complained about the long start delay a lot. it might be a good idea to have a message onscreen explaining what this delayed start is meant to be used for. Attention: Delayed start is to organize and discuss tactics...squad up and prepare for battle! something like that would do the trick

Re: Tgif
So... how are we feeling about the future...?
Is tonight the last night, based on the last month or so of ppl showing up?
Will this better-than-nilla-or-AIX game+community continue?
Will |3illy show up and complain about map choices?
Did any of you know that when I am on the Ukraine side, I take off my pants?

Re: Tgif
Sorry for bailing early on Tues, my connection problems have been at an all time high, making it absolutely unplayable. It's not the server, it's definately my isp & trying to get it resolved but dealing with them is a neverending battle.
I'll be on tonight!MANUS HAEC INIMICA TYRANNIS
