As I posted over on the Vanilla thread, I am doubtful we can revive our Vanilla server and keep it populated without a push from most of us who play POE. Maybe if we all got on everyday at 5:00 and stayed on until there were 50+ for a couple of weeks it would work.....
Personally I would rather play POE and add some of the folks that were on the Vanilla server a couple of weeks back.
Anyway as Project says, it is Friday, let's have a big turnout (Tuesday was fun) and watch out for the curving bullets on Fallen.

Completely agreed, it would be nice to have a self sufficent populating Vanilla server ESPECIALLY if it led to more PoE2 recruits. I've been a BF addict since 42 and from my experience, a server obviously needs to be seeded AND have enough players playing into the wee hours of the morning to entice the european players that are just hitting their peak play times, to keep it going 24/7. It's extremely tough with the age of
BF2 and as Homedog mentioned, the patch may have brought a few back to test it out and then they went back to their usual games.
I'm in for helping in any way I can. I love this community and it truely is playing the way "it was meant to be played". A few years ago I co-founded a clan that was based on friendship and "good guys", my dreams were to do exactly what
TG has done (mature, like minded, teambased players and even thought that a "school" to teach others tactics would be an excellent idea, low and behold here it is at
TG). Unfortunatley, the other co-founder was based on winning at all costs and it lead to a lot of hard feelings amongst the original founding members and eventually the demise. I would bet there are still quite a few hardcore BFers out there that are seeking the
TG experience.
If we were to attempt to get the Vanilla going, we definantly need to split up and squad lead, make sure there is a decent commander, follow the old school rules of getting players welcomed to the squad, encouraging the use of VOIP, getting them comfortable communicating and working in a team based atmosphere. The camaraderie is what I believe will help to hook like minded players to keep comming back.
