didnt get punkbusted

not sure if its the adjustment that was made or if its something i did but i didnt get kicked from the server on friday.

for anyone that is still having this problem...this is what i did. after updating according to all the instructions i could manage to find on the punkbuster site....i was looking through the pb files and noticed that if i right clicked and checked the properties on some of them there was a message at the bottom saying they were blocked by windows because they came from another computer. very strange i know but i just needed to click unblock. could this be because i dont run an antivirus on my gaming pc? anyway just though i would mention that.

I didn't get MD5 kicked at all...usually I have to disconnect at the end of each map and connect again just before it starts up to avoid the 2 minute wait. It was great to be able to choose a squad long before the maps started. I had a lot of fun last night...worth the lack of sleep when my 6 year old woke me up this morning.

mantis made some adjustments to the server regarding MD5 and they appear to be working.

yeah it must have been the adjustments made by mantis because i was just visiting the 3dgn server and got busted...i think punkbuster is getting to be like most antivirus programs...paranoid

FWIW, I'm getting the MD5 crap again. It's very frustrating when I only play POE2 once a week usually to have to put up with the kicks. Sigh.

Got a flawless night but at one point punkbuster dropped half the server...pretty weird random bug.

I hear ya Bernout! As most here know, I am plagued with the MD5 tool kick. Frustrating - yes. Waste of time (2 min. wait each kick) - yes. It's why I no longer can start a squad as I get kicked with 2 seconds 'til the round starts. Yes, very aggrevating.

The admins did a freat job a few months ago of fixing the problem. It has recently creeped back into the server, but it has been brought to the admins attention and I trust they will once again solve the problem (fingers crossed).

Hang in there and please rejoin after the kick.

Try turning off fraps and manually updating pb by downloading THIS file into your bf2/pb folder.
If this doesnt work, start turning off background applications (firewall, updaters, msn, etc.) one by one. Also update all your drivers and defrag your harddrive just in case.

Yeah, same with me. In fact, it seems to happen more often if I try to SL. I got booted once I think last night and it was the only time I tried to be SL.

TG PoE server is the only server I constantly get kicked from now.
