About last night
I am digging the new Tuesday and Friday thing. At first, I was sitting on the server on other nights, hoping to seed, scratching out a few 4v4 or 6v6, sometimes more if I was lucky, but it felt like, well, sad.
Hopping on a few nights a week for quality play is great. Great moments last night, even when we were getting spanked.
How did we get the flag on top of Kerch first? That was freaky, fighting from the top as US, but what a great round. Real_Caged and his Dirty Berd C4 impression, classic - i think he got to -17 at one point, but it was so fun to watch. The tube/nade/C4 war on the basement stairs was probably the longest one I've seen.
Actually Fallen was probably the worst round, quite the opposite of normal.
Crimea was hilarious, from losing the APC to eFlight on the middle flag only to walk all the way back to beach to blow him up, to being the only medic on my team, to being capped out up 14 to 2 and just watching the 14 go to 0 and the 2 only go to 1, and us losing. Good times.
I capped it off with the 4th quarter of the LA/Denver Game 1 - holy poo poo, this is going to be a great series.
I also wanted to apologize to Saitcho and Mrbbq. I made some smart a$$ comments as you were totally owning my smart a$$, and I shouldn't have.
See you on Friday.

Re: About last night
Only way US will win kerch 16 is to grab that top flag. The middle flag doesn't have any spawns and once your stuck on the bottom your pretty much screwed.

Ugh I was so rusty. I couldn't aim straight. But fun nonetheless.

Yeah I messed up with the APC, thought my squad was heading to beach and ended up there all by myself, doh. Taking the APC back to our flag, like Mantis did, was clearly the better tactical move.
I redeemed myself by taking the Beach flag at the end of the game while the rest of the team grabbed the center flag, getting the cap out.

It's stuff like the chopper that annoys me, you got 2 very good people in the Eurotiger, but absolutely no one on the UKR team to counter them, so then the Hind sits unused whilst we get roasted by 270-0.
Game is no longer fun when that happens so instead of getting all worked up, I just disconnect.

Re: About last night
Its easy for me to say this in retrospect and being on the other team but on Rolling Thunder UKR really should have gave up the Bridge and went after the Depot or whatever the flag on your side is called. In other words if you know you won't win due to an overwhelming air power difference than don't make the only flag you hold be the one thats arty and chopper bait. Settle for the one thats easy to hold with cover.

Man i feel like a fool for not joining you last night, there is nothing better than being in the hind when there is a decent opponent in the air. Especially on rolling, my favourite chopper map. I'm not making this mistake again, see you on friday.
On the other hand, if the enemy air power annoys you, just make a squad with a couple of stingers and a support guy and you'll be the one annoying them.

Tuesday / Friday battles... to whoever thought of it: great idea!
I'm usually ineffective on the Kerch, so I decided to go spec ops (w/ med kit) and take the upper flag. Once I got up there, I set up my defensive position behind my med packs, spawn-killed Shotcha a split second before flag went neutral, stole his AT kit, and aimed for the stairway until it was capped. Fortunately for me, Shotcha doesn't have a mic to call for back up on their tac channel. Rest of the game was a real slugfest, intense fighting, and their cleverly devised ambush points!
Fallen was really tough, I volunteered to command our side, went on specific missions to scout out your command posts. Must point out that your side played like a real team... using your strength in numbers and pure will power to take over one command post after the other. It was impressive how your entire team worked together and focus your attack one of our command posts. It was a stark contrast to how most teams make the mistake of forming small squads and splintering up all over the place and accomplishing little to nothing. Also, I forgot that I had muted my entire computer, lol. I didn't notice anything unusual because I almost never turn on game music / f/x sounds, except for VOIP / squad communication.
I was playing while listening to the 4th quarter Lakers game on uStream... what a game!
Now I gotta go nominate Rockford and Racer for some sort of commendation...

I have spare Intel parts, not AMD. Try Craigslist for cheap computer parts. Maybe a forum moderator can start a "how to fix or improve you pc performance" thread in here or the general forum. There's a lot of little things you can do to help get the most out of your pc.

No way- holding that flag with one squad was fun, even if we were getting shattered by the Arty/Chopper/3 Tanks. After all, that little exercise provided us with our finest humor of the night- ribbing the whole rest of our team for not being able to cap that flag on our side while my squad was fighting what seemed to be 3 or 4 German armies...
