Fighting Blind!
For the love of god, Q-spot the enemy.!!!!
Its quite simple.
You see the enemy, whether its a piece of armor, air or infantry
First Q-spot them.
Then you have a choice:
A. Engage the enemy
B. Let HiTest rain hell from above with a pinpoint precision artillery strike
We can do better than what i saw last night especially on Fallen. Or maybe i should be more clear. We have to do a better job Q-spotting during the scrim.

Re: Fighting Blind!
You can spot even if you don't know where the enemy is. Just do a couple of "random spots" in the direction you suspect them. You can also spot something thats behind cover if you aim above it.
When im sneaking somewhere on any map, i always keep random spotting in every direction just to be safe, this saved my life countless times.
Also keep in mind that a spotted enemy will only show up to others if they are close enough. They will be able to see the teammate who spotted something, his icon will flash on the minimap for a couple of seconds.
I always try to spot first and shoot second. Even if i die because of that, my team already knows where the enemy is and can react in time. It sure is important to kill them, but thats only possible once you know their position.
If the default settings are not comfortable (and they aren't, you have to move your finger from "A" to "Q" leaving you unable to strafe left) then reassign it to something else so you can spot and move freely at the same time.

Who won that game? I can't remember, because as you all know, when The Mantis (or any of the Top 10 POE high scorers) joins your squad, there's a ton of added pressure on the SLs to do their best. I unknowingly called Mantis a straggler (who was lagging behind our entire squad), unknowingly tried to send him on a lonewolf mission to cap the Cabins outpost, keyword: "tried", lol. During our extended foothold on Cabins, our squad developed a very simple strategy: El-Meistro and Mantis provide the cover fire while I keep reviving the prolific scorer Cylon, and Shottglass / Mahoney / MP40X hunt down incoming enemy combatants. Anyway, keep up the great SL'ing, Hitest. I nominate you for full time SL duty. Thanks.

Re: Fighting Blind!
Personally I only spot if I know something is there (or if I see a scary bush blowing in the wind). It always felt like abusing the feature using it that way rather than your own eyes. If they are able to flank without me noticing then they deserve the kill/cap whatever. But whatever floats your boat I always say.

Re: Fighting Blind!
I always try to spot but sometimes do not live long enough to do so. Some new games like TF2 auto spot for you when somebody gets in your sights. Kind of neat system there worth mentioning but since that is not the case here we all need to keep it in our minds to do normally unless you are on the other team from me... :P

Re: Fighting Blind!
I always spot big assest ,tank chopper planes etc. But I usually kill the guy instead of spotting it. In case of a whole squad then I usually spam a few spot before engaging.
One thing that is vital especially on low assets maps likes one chopper per side or one tank per side its VERY VERY VERY usefull to spot the assets gives the guy on your team a big edge in the duel.
I never fly planes and was wondering how helpfull is it to spot em since they go pretty fast. Dont know if pilots spend time on the map to see the spotted assests since they are busy avoiding AA tree and buildings.

Re: Fighting Blind!
I often get dizzy spotting planes, turning around in circles up in the blue sky.

Re: Fighting Blind!
Always spot jets please, we do have time to look at the minimap and as soon as we hear or see a spotted jet we will immidiately start looking for it.
There are a lot of times when we evade or follow the enemy jet just by looking at the minimap, so try to keep them spotted as long as possible.
