    Quick question:

Can anyone tell me how to turn down the volume on the in-game voiceover ie. "Sniper" or "Vehicle Spotted" by adjusting the actual game code? If code is the right word.

Moving the volume slide for it in the audio screen doesn't change anything. I have tried resetting to default and then adjusting it lower but that doesn't help either.

I can't hear anyone sneaking up on me with all the announcements.....

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Quick question:

Well Dog, Try going to this file on your PC:

C>Program Files>EA Games>Battlefield 2>Profiles>0001 and open the Audio file with Notepad (mine is actually 0004 for my |TG-71st|Zippy profile, so open whichever profile you currently use).

You should see something like this in Notepad:

    AudioSettings.setVoipEnabled 1
    AudioSettings.setVoipPlaybackVolume 1
    AudioSettings.setVoipCaptureVolume 1
    AudioSettings.setVoipCaptureThreshold 0.0113644
    AudioSettings.setVoipBoostEnabled 1
    AudioSettings.setVoipUsePushToTalk 1
    AudioSettings.setProvider "software"
    AudioSettings.setSoundQuality "High"
    AudioSettings.setEffectsVolume 1
    AudioSettings.setMusicVolume 0.33
    AudioSettings.setHelpVoiceVolume 1
    AudioSettings.setEnglishOnlyVoices 0
    AudioSettings.setEnableEAX 1

Try changing some of the volumes to 1 as I did and see if it helps. Oh yea, make sure to save it to the right file after you've changed it ;-)

Does this work? I don't see a setting for what homedog's referring to.
