What is Point of Existence?
Point of Existence (PoE) is a free, high-quality mod for the Battlefield series of games. Specifically, PoE:1 is for Battlefield Vietnam, and PoE:2 is for Battlefield 2. The action revolves around near-future conflicts in areas such as Africa and Europe, with featured armies including those of the United States, Russia, Germany, and the Ukraine. The scope of the mod is that of a total conversion, with new models, skins, sounds, maps, and gameplay modes.

Tactical Gamer hosts a 64-player Point of Existence 2 server (among others), so be sure to join us online for some great tactical team play.

SWEET!....this weekend is gonna suck for family time, plus we are getting a dog. I cant wait to be back playing with one of the best gameing engines out there. From the look of screenshots and vids its gonna keep BF2 going for a little while longer.

Check out the arty movie near the bottom of yesterdays news post. The Old School arty system is going to be the highlight of this game for me. YouTube - POE2 Artillery Trailer PS- Judging by posts on their forums a lot of people who are interested in this game really like teamwork.

Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

It's bold because we have the Community package with Game-Monitor. They poll us more frequently, we show up bold, and we get more options with the signature/status images. Originally Posted by WhiskeySix

Apophis, what is your goal with the XML/SDK stuff? I wouldn't mind helping. I just don't know if I'm qualified. I'm sure at least a few other people are in the same boat.
