keeping the server up to TG standards

Suggestions for keeping the server up to TG standerds (organized, high quality play):

1) Try to play squadleader as much as you can.
2) Dont bunch up with all TG players in one squad, spread out.
3) Educate other players.

My suggestion is to lock it and post the password on our forums. Would only let those who are registared get on and we could control the server easier

I think having a password night in the future, much like we did in the earlier days of BF2, would be nice but I don't agree with locking it down 24/7. We should welcome newcomers and help the community grow. It will be tough initially to get so many folks on same page with regards to rules and general etiquette but powersmoker's suggestions will help greatly. Everyone will just need to chip in and speak up to the new players.

Encourage anyone you see in your squad that is new to come by the website and check everything out.

Look, guys, lets not get too worked up about it yet. Play according to the Primer, and it will all be good. And for people that haven't read it, point it out to them.

Re: keeping the server up to TG standards

As we get people on the server, we as members of TG should be showing them way we play. Break up the TG squads and get some non-members in and work with them on our style of play. We have done this in the past and it has worked out very well.

Re: keeping the server up to TG standards

The biggest thing to do is to not have 6 TG members in a squad as much as you can. I really dont want to see 2 really good squads made up of only TGers and then the rest of the squads disfunctional. Get maybe half the squad with TGers and then invite 3 people you dont know. If they dont follow orders, get an admin. If they follow orders, we have a new TGer.

Ditto. Let's keep complaints to a minimum and focus on education for the transition. And the admins will have to step up keeping the blatant smacktards in line too.
