I did this last night, I was leaving and when the next map loaded, there were only 3 people. I locked and removed them then left. I probably should've said something first, so my bad on that part. I just didn't want any old person leading the "learn tg" squad.

Good tip, and thanks. I didn't do this last night after leaving the "Learn TG3" squad I'd created when I turned in for the night. I'll make sure to do this next time.

Re: Encouraging Teamwork on TG PoE2
Also I would suggest that the commanders request squad consolidation. Last night I logged into the PoE server (it was late, 1 AM EDT) and it was chaos. I think there were 8 squads with 1-3 people in them. It is very had to control and attack points if you are not in a coherent squad.
I understand it is because the mod is new, and it is going to be crazy for the next week or two until things settle down. Trust me I was very happy to see TG have PoE up after I downlaoded it.

JMJ and I both tried to do some relaxed recruiting last night. I'm not sure what the success rate is, but it is definately worth mentioning we are NOT a clan and that they should definately visit our forums.
The 130th guy was Lustvig or Luttwitz. I believe this is their forums as he mentioned playing FH 130th Panzer Lehr Division.
Pillbox is another we need to get on the forums. If you play with him encourage him to drop by.

Re: Encouraging Teamwork on TG PoE2
Last night was a bit of a mess in this respect during the short time while I played. My team had one squad of 6 TG members, 3 1-man squads, and a couple of 2 and 3 man squads. I think it had one other squad of 5 men, but that squad was using 2 attack choppers, and was scattered across the map. Eventually, the sniper squad filled up and the players there all did their own thing.
I joined several squads, but in spite of my prodding, I wasn't able to get orders from any of the SL's. If I had been feeling more energetic, I would have formed yet another squad and tried to lead a rag-tag group, but I was just too tired to deal with that.
Try to avoid doing the 6-man TG squad please. At least take a look at your team every now and then to see how it looks. That team was not healthy, and none of those people got an experience that would make them like TG.

Re: Encouraging Teamwork on TG PoE2
another good thing to do is when u start your Learn TG squad is to invite names u are not familiar with. Particularly those in one or two man squads.

Re: Encouraging Teamwork on TG PoE2
I hear ya Icky. The problem is a lot of these people don't want or care about the TG experience. If I'm in a squad and giving orders, alot of pubbies just ignore me and run off. Eventually, I kick them for being useless and they form these stupid 2 man crap squads that you mentioned. Alot of these players are just worthless as far as teamwork goes. If your not going to listen to me, then go off, form your own squad just so you don't get kicked, THEN take an air asset which a dedicated squad is trying to use, well I think you should be kicked from the server.

That's what I ran into too. Bad thing was that there were already 9 squads created.
@jmaker: I was saying that 2 pubbies were running the LEARN TG squad, and not really running it at all.

That is why I think whoever is creating a squad should always create squads with names similar the following (except for helo/jet/arti) and not those charle & echo crap. The chances are if anyone on either team saw most squads here like those, it will give them a better idea of what the server is about and what most player can expect here before they even fire a single shot.
LearnTG
Teamwork
Teamplay
Tactical
Tacticplay
TacticVOIP
TeamVOIP
etc......
This will attract player who "want" to be a team player to those squads. I've had good showings with those squads on pubs in the past.

Re: Encouraging Teamwork on TG PoE2
I started the LEARNTG2 squad last night and within minutes I had a full squad. only one other TG guy was in my squad. Everyone worked together very well and I enjoyed running that one. They were VERY impressed when I requested helo cover to protect us from tanks and Intron came over to help us. Stuff like that makes for a fun round. I wish I had thought to disband the squad before I went to bed. I will do that from now on.
BTW Pillbox was in my squad and you guys are right. He's a great team player.
