The ukrainian spec ops gun is sick. Its only 20 rounds, but you can down an enemy with ease in less than a second. It also reloads extremely fast which is good if a lot of people are headed your way. The biggest con is that you run out of ammo ridiculously fast, so make sure ya got a support guy in your squad if you are gonna use the spec ops gun.

My new best friend is the Ger AT pick-up kit Mp7-Scope or the Ger AP pick-up kit Mp7-Sliencer. The gun's accuracy is sick, the crosshair barely changes no matter what position your are in, even when you are moving. If you like moving around during CQC, that gun is perfect for you.

I too am frustrated by this. The pick-up kit system, while a great idea to expand the infantry options beyond the standard number of possible kits, is horribly executed IMHO. Any number of icons or indicators could have hilighted their location to all players rather than often secreting them away in nooks and crannies for only the hardcore/obsessed gamer to find and grab before the casual gamers get a chance to find them. Seems to reward a certain power-gaming mindset I find hard to articulate but not hard to dislike. And those who have found them, even on voice comms as squadmates, seem reluctant to share their locations so they can be assured that they have a greater likelihood of grabbing them nextime without anyone else getting it first. This is a nauseating lack of sportmanship from a teammate IMO.

they aren't actually hidden abra, well, for the most part. They are USUALLY just in your UCB. There should be a barracks type building where you walk in and select the pickup you want. There are also a few scattered around at CP's around the map. But I really wouldn't call them "hidden." Just look inside buildings.

I dunno I'm liking the German medic rifle, the G36k. Just go single shot with that bad boy. It was great for me earlier tonight on Fallen. Like Santa said you always seem to run out of ammo rather quickly. But there's the teamwork aspect of it again. You need to have a support guy in the squad especially on those infantry maps.

I couldn't believe how frequently Santa was running out of ammo on Fallen the other night. I was scattering ammo bags constantly for the entire map.

Yeah I guess I jsut need to learn which maps have that barracks building and which maps don't. But it is the ones "scattered around CPs" that I refer to as hidden. They are in buildings but often tucked behind things or in corners. Not difficult to miss. And some maps seem without pick ups. Like Orel for instance on the Ukraine side I just haven't found a single one. Are some maps totally devoid of them? Or are some maps just without them at the UCB? In any event searching for kits is a major unnecessary distraction from the gameplay IMO.

I should've asked earlier but does anyone know where I can get an explanation for the various parameters on that chart? LIke the time to live as discussed in the knife thread in BF2-General showed me how little I really understood the impact of those various stats. Can't really make sense of it as is.

Eek! Actually does anyone still have the old version with the PoE guns? That link now leads to a 1.4 version with just vanilla and SF weapons.
