Full Server
I started playing on the TG servers about 2 months ago through a friend and I think you guys kick ass! Since POE came out the server has had a lot of traffic and thats great!.
I check the server link to see if the server is full and it shows up having a few spots,so I fire up the game and load the map ( not sure about anyone else but it take a few minutes for me) and then I get booted cause the server is full.
Thats cool but why does it load the map then kick you unlike vanilla BF which doesn't allow you to join in the first place.
It's kinda like" oh great theres a spot gonna get some good games in" and then get the big let down when you can't join.

Re: Full Server
Welcome to TG!
The game server requires 2 slots (1 on each side) for the Supporting Member script. So even though it shows slots are open, it isn't.
As for why it boots after you load the map, I have no idea. Maybe the PoE team altered the way the maps load, so that screws up how the SM script works?
Anyway, that's the gist of it. If you want to be guaranteed a slot, consider ponying up the $8.95 per month and become a Supporting Member.
Keep in mind, we try to run similar scipts on all of our servers, so when BF2142 hits, we will be looking for a way to ensure that our SMs get taken care of.

Re: Full Server
Another admin would be able to answer this question better than I, but I believe the reason lies with recent code changes for 1.4. Before 1.4, I believe that a player did not in fact have to load up the map.

Re: Full Server
Best way to join a full server is to watch it in third party program. Xfire works great for me...just refresh the server details every 30 secs ish. Once you see 61 or less people on then you can alt tab back to bf2 and click join.

Re: Full Server
What you may not know is that non supporting member that is in the server the longest gets kicked...so if you get in at least you know you'll be on for a goodly spell. I paid annually at $80 but you may want to consider a monthly membership as someone has already said.
