Re: Reminder -- Helo squads..
10 minutes loadtime is indicative of faulty equipment(or lack of Ram as Lorian pointed out). Check out our tech support forums you might get hints there.

Re: Reminder -- Helo squads..
10 minutes 0_0 , that is euh .... very long :-(
First time i played i had a long loadtime too , but after testing a bit of different settings it loads pretty fast now.
For me personaly it helped allot to put out the shadows option. That seemed to be a big resource eater for me.
I also put out all the progs that running in the background and that are not realy needed to play POE2.You can try make 2 different user accounts on your computer , one for normal surfing , chatting , etc , and one that only will be used to play POE2 our other high demanding games.
I can not post out of my head how all of this works because i got that info from allot of different places on the net by typing all kinds of combo's in google with the words " performance , bf2 and POE2 our POE" in it ( i am a PC noob so i need to follow all that stuff step by step lol).
Annyway , good luck with solving your problem.

Re: Reminder -- Helo squads..
Rhythm is great and all, but there has to be a rotation method. It's just not fair to people with slower computers who dont get the jump on creating the "ATKHELO" squad... The same guys get in the helis and hog em all round.
The constellation prize of "hey you can fly next time" is no fun cause maps go what, 30-45 mins? And then if the next map doesn't have jets/helos, it becomes another 30-45 mins. And even then there's no guarantee they'll be able to get in an air squad.
Why don't we agree on locking them at 4? That gives ya 2 to fly the helo and two to alternate (at every crash), they can fly around and repair, or man the mobile AA. If people are joing the heli squad with no intention of flying/gunning, they are asked to leave, and then kicked if they dont cooperate. Locking it at 2 and blocking EVERYONE out is just lame and totally not in the TG/Carebears spirit of sharing-is-caring.

Re: Reminder -- Helo squads..
Okay, this is starting to go around and around. How many answers do you want? You've gotten:
1. Ask squad leader of locked helo squad if you can join.
2. Make your own helo squad.
3. Contact an admin if there are any problems.

Re: Reminder -- Helo squads..
Well, I don't ever lock the squad before a round starts, and it isn't usually until several minutes into the round when people continue to fill up the squad.
You definitely should not lock the chopper squad before the game starts, that will give everyone enough time to get into the squad that wants a chance to fly. If your computer can't get in before the 2 minute timer then I don't know what to tell you. My computer is mid range at best and I usually see 1:15 - 1:30 on the timer by the time I am in and ready.
Most pub servers show 15 seconds by the time I am loaded. If your computer is just that slow you are going to miss the beginning of the round no matter what and the "it's not fair" thing goes out the window as far as I'm concerned. Short of everyone chipping in to buy you better hardware what do you expect us to do?
