    totally off my game

Well last night was the fist time I've plated any BF2 game sober. Normally I'll get home, have a couple smokes, drink a 40oz Bud Light and get ready to game. By the second map I'm usually halfway through 40oz beer number two so I'm feeling fine. Last night I didn't drink any alcoholic beverages and I was WAY off my game. I couldn't get my fingers to hit anything without looking at the keyboard. The last map I was on I ended up dying like 16 times! I think I only got about 4 kills. I was never so happy to CTD......

Just wanted to let my brothers know why I was so bad last night.

It's not that we drink so much as we pity the whole fantastic human scene, and to this we drink. It's a lot like the gods and their nectar, really.

I'm stunned to learn that Backlash has a game to be "totally off." That implies in principle the possibility of being "totally on" his game, I mean %^o

That's sad when you have to be drunk to remember where the keys on the keyboard are.

I have found that there's a curve of drunken play. My perfomance goes up after 2-3 beers, and then, down...relatively quickly. I don't know why this curve exists, but in some people it is more profound.

I like to say "relaxed" as opposed to drunk. It takes a lot more that a couple 40's to get me drunk enough that I can't perform in or out of game. Thanks for the doubt though. *grin*

    Re: totally off my game

My drinking to BF2 ability curve is pretty much a hockey stick. The more I put down the better I get. Or maybe it's the alcohol that makes it seem like I get better and I'm really getting worse. Hmm I'll have to fix a drink and ponder on that one.

Yup thats good advice. Of course it's hard to stop after 20+ years on the bottle, although the last few days have been rather nice...... after the shakes stopped.

Ah, I figured this was more of a joking thread. But if you're seriously trying to kick your ole buddy weiser to the curb, then keep up the good work!
