So I can't join a squad
After a long absence from FPS, POE has captured my interest. I enjoyed the last one very much. I am having a issue though. I can't seem to join a squad, I select the squad,click it, but nothing happens. I also cannot create a squad, it's strange. I look tirelessly at POE's site for the issue to no avail. Not only have I reinstalled, BF2, and POE, I used the issue as a excuse to do a complete blow-away. Has anyone else had, or heard of this problem? Is there something simple I am missing? Suggestions?

Try spawning first, and then joining a squad.

This works every time. I've had the same issue a few times and all you have to do is pick a spawn point and get in the game. Then go back to the squad screen and join up. Just be sure and tell the SL that you're on the way to his location as you usually spawn in a different area than the squad you wish to join. While you're in the spawn screen go ahead and reset your spawn point on the SL to avoid future mishaps. HTH.

You could look for the squad leader's icon on the map when you're picking your initial spawn point, so you don't end up too far away from your SL. Originally Posted by Backlash-7

Wait were there already other people in squads? Because there's a bug with the mod where sometimes one team just cannot create a squad.

Gah, it's not a bug. They added it to stop squad hopping, remember? It was documented in patch notes.

When you are initially joining a map, like sitting down for the first time to play for the evening, you should be able to join while dead still. If you've been disconnected and got some sort of score (a disconnect while dead will give you a death), then you'll have to spawn then join a squad.
The bug about one team not being able to create a squad happens every now and then, but it hasn't been common enough for you to not be able to join after a reinstall or something (time passes, people complain, server is restarted..).
If we're not experiencing that bug and if you're sitting down for the first time for the evening, then I've not clue why you wouldn't be able to join.Battlefield Admin(BF2 Rules) (BF2142 Rules)

So I have solved the problem. It seems that my caps lock, insert button were not bound properly, and this was the cause of the problem. I appreciate all of your efforts, and I hope to see you all soon.
