Thumbs up New and enjoy our POE server?...now take your TG experience to the next level!

This thread is for all the new faces out there that have enjoyed the TG style of play and have become regulars on our POE2 server. My intentions are to highlight some other events in TG land that will further immerse you into the TG style of play.

POE2 Scrim

First up I want to stay within this mod and draw your attention to an internal POE2 scrim that is going to be held soon. Scrims are without a doubt one of the best experiences you can have from your battlefield experience here at TG. Its the elevated play you would experience during a password night but taken to an even higher degree. Tactics while flexible are always pre determined in advance. Commanders are always operational and managing the entire team toward various goals. This is a level of coordination and tactics that you will not experience on our public server. Imagine having the ability to ask the CO for air support and see it happen within 10 secs every time...this is just one example.

I want to really highlight this because I have seen only a couple new faces signup for this scrim. This is a golden opportunity for everyone. Some of you out there probably just did not notice the sticky thread for the scrim in this forum. Meanwhile some of you may be asking yourself if you are eligible to play in this scrim..."Am I affiliated with TG?" If you understand and follow our rules and style of play then YES you are ready to signup. TG tags or in house squad membership are in no way a requirement. The main requirement is that you completely read and understand the signup thread. That thread is posted below so lets see some new faces! The sooner you signup the better chance you will get of being in the scrim or not getting bumped for a supporting member!

Tactical Gamer University

No this doesn't involve homework! TGU is simply a school of sorts designed to teach not only the fundamentals of Tactical Gamer but also apply this style of play through various tactical lessons. For a taste of the curriculum that would be on the lesson plan please see this link. For even more info please visit the TGU subforum:

The great part here is that TGU is supporting the POE2 scrim. TGU will be supporting this scrim by having TGU instructors squad lead squads. They will be your personal drill instructor for a practice geared toward preparing your squad to accomplish the objectives your CO sets forth. This practice series will benefit people who are new to TG scrims in general or simply new to highly-organized, clan-style team play as employed by TG's in house teams. If I have peaked your interest then don't hesistate to signup for the scrim and list your available days for practice.(see signup for full details)

Tactical Mod

Tactical Mod is an internally developed mod here at TG. While I am probably not a great choice for promotion of this mod I will post some quotes to get across the info you need to determine whether this mod will interest you.

Together these two concepts provide the opportunity to execute a more cohesive strategy & squad-based tactics to complete the map objectives. The game, however, caters more towards the action gamer and offers up some features that detract from the immersive experience we're looking for.

This is where the Tactical Mod steps in to create a framework and environment to enhance the overall game-play and player experience. The mod attempts to create an immersive environment and place an emphasis on the execution of the team strategy and squad-based tactics. We also adjust the player classes, kit make-up, weapon & vehicle settings to balance the game-play for a more enjoyable experience.

A: The main objectives for this mod are:
  1. Create a framework & environment where players feel immersed in the battle.
  2. Promote the execution of planned squad-based strategy & tactics.
  3. Balance classes, kits, and vehicles.
  4. Provide a near-simulation / realistic experience.
