We tried that... Mantis keeps calling out the right answers after the first gesture. He is like a machine in every game, I kid you not. I once played online checkers with him and he jumped all my pieces in one move. Last Saturday, it was me and him in online Texas Hold'em and he got five aces and beat my royal flush somehow.
Even as a kid growing up, Mantis spoiled all the games we played. We couldn't find him for three weeks in a game of Hide-N-Seek. It turns out he hiked over 300 miles to Wyoming to make sure we couldn't find him. WYOMING. Who does that?! He even got four-in-a-row once in Tic-Tac-Toe, which surprised the hell out of me. He is unbeatable. I thought I had him beat once in Dance Dance Revolution, then when it was his turn, he tore off his trenchcoat to reveal some sort of awesome one-piece dance jumpsuit made out of glitter and sequins and started prancing and flailing about like a Japanese schoolgirl on crack and beat my score by nearly triple. I did not see that coming.

Made me snicker. It's funny because it's true.
The 6th Marines start with POE every Tuesday night.

Re: The uprising of POE:2
It is positive to read a thread that breaths life instead of the dead of Point of Existence 2. Thanks!
I sure as hell do miss the game. Since our (former) community shut our last server down, I've been around at One Black Sheep's server (on Tuesdays) once in a while and of course at TG's - when I haven't been dead tired. (Time gap sux). However, I've played too few hours the last six months.
I really will try to join your PoE server (instead of reading a good book or watching an educating documentary at TV), because the mod is a great one and to play with some of the TG-dudes is a good team play. I can read and watch TV when I retire.
So please; fill up the Hind, stash some ammo for the Benelli shot-gun, and tie Khaerus and the other killers down - and I will try my best to keep that mod alive.
See you on the server. Soon.
Regards,
Magrioteli

Good to see you again, Mag- it's been a while. We'll try to get some big maps loaded up for us all to run around, too...

Re: The uprising of POE:2
heh heh Khaerus cat has got him occupied. no need to tie him down. pretty good turn out tonight... after Cotton and I were squaded up 2 vs 2.. : ) all the boys came tothe playground to check my skillz. HiTest the illest brutha. NOT the illest driver. it was like watching George of the Jungle "watch out for that aaaaaaa <doh> TREE!"
First Snow, way fun with a smaller number of people. its so insane.

Re: The uprising of POE:2
My success rate was 1 for 3 on driving from the GER main to the Gas Station Flag. In my book thats Hall of Fame numbers! Who decided to plant trees in the out of bounds area anyway?
IMHO, we need to play 32p size maps. 16p maps are getting real old, real fast. Cant we at least try it for a week?

Re: The uprising of POE:2
agreed. I think we should see about giving some server side stuff a shot, again.

Re: The uprising of POE:2
Hi guys! I was playing a little last night and it was 3 on 3 or 2 on 3, but it was still fun......
My shift at work and stuff at home preclude much playing until after midnight CST, so I doubt I'll see the server full much. Hope y'all are doing well.

Re: The uprising of POE:2
I sure miss the large maps as well. As much as I want that with only 8 players the last few weeks I fear that this would not be much better. I also miss playing more epic maps with 64 players and some waiting to get back on.
I will ask Santa for more players to play with this Xmas!

Re: The uprising of POE:2
tis True Sir Blood... the days of 2 months ago are greatly missed. I fear we're all left to the old quotes. "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not a miracle worker."
We're on life support. Fun rounds for sure. those nights when it the 71st vs 'bench and soggy bottom boys'. or Goat vs York.
We need a hero. some server side mods? maybe... how hard are thoses?
what happened to the Mantis Modness files?!?!?
the addition of First Snow back into rotation has been fun. Would be cool to tweak those a little. say first snow minus tanks. heck, throw out some of those jeeps with guns, the AWE Striker kind for you GI Joe fans of the 80s action figures.
I can't bring myself to install the sand bag mod, and AIX sounds like another excuse to reinstall NWN 2. its 2 months til pitchers and catchers report right?!?
I can't do the programming, but I could help with creative content on changes to maps. the 1 bullet sniper kit.
If nothing else, lets keep the POE Forum alive.

Make it the 'reverse-bullet sniper kit' and I'll get you some keys...

Re: The uprising of POE:2
Last night was fun, but then again it always is, so what's the answer? Pick some specific nights for POE so people all show up at the same time? Add some mod nights? Do some server side adjustments? All of the above?

Re: The uprising of POE:2
Just re-skin the players to look like zombies, make the maps all dark and have a few guys named Smoker and Hunter and Blam!, full server!
Rumor has it PoE has 64p maps. Any truth to this???

Re: The uprising of POE:2
Can you just imagine 8 vs 8 on a 64 player snake eyes? someone would have to to mod in a little bird or something for fun. That would be a riot. TS would just be "where are you?"
