Why don't admins do anything!?!?
NO ONE REPORTS ANYTHING ON TEAMSPEAK OR IN CHAT!!!! We admins are not mind readers and we can not be everywhere at once. I do not think you will ever find a case where a player got on Teamspeak, "ASKED" and admin to check on something, and the admin didn't take care of it!!! At the expense of his own game half the time!
If you type the name in chat we occasionally bounce around and check the chat logs. Then we have name to do something with.
"|TG|<insert name here>: What's with all these blankety blank bunnyhopper noobs, why won't an admin kick them?!?!!?"
1) Kick who!?!?!?
2) Don't TELL us what to do, bring it to our attention.
3) Try looking at yourself "NOOB" |TGer|, veteran players have enough sense to come get us on teamspeak and tell us.

Well said. You won't find an admin anywhere at TG, who minds dropping what they're doing to help players on the server(s) they manage. We don't, however, live on the servers that we administer (unless you have no life and are called Root). If switching TS chennels, or loading the program up in the first place is too much trouble for you, then you're as much a part of the problem as the player you want dealt with.

I would encourage everyone to at least type out the persons name in chat, Jepzilla and experiment626 were trying last night eliminate some of the problem players. When people are not willing to take a half a minute of gameplay away to look up the name and type it in chat we are just encouraging them to continue. I for one always type it in chat and get killed sometimes while doing it. I am getting sick of seeing some of these supposed regulars now on our server continously break our rules and continue to play here.
Speaking of which sending some PMs to the admins so maybe they have a better idea of who to watch.

very true but really typing in chat doesn't tend to work 90% of the time its better just to go on TS if its a continuing problem

Typing in chat DOES work. When I am not available to sit on TS or be in the game, I am often monitoring the chat, or at the very least I scan the chat when I am available. Likewise for many of the other admins.
Furthermore, if we have a problem with someone, we can scan through older chat activity to see how many times they've been involved in issues.Peace through fear... since 1947!

Ever wondered why a fortune teller would need you to tell them your credit card number and expiration date? Afterall, wouldn't they simply know the number anyway???
K, back on topic now.
Last night during the bunny hopping fest, I couldn't catch peoples names quickly enough before they disappeared off of the chat line. Hitting the Tilda key results in itty-bitty text that is hard for me to read read due to the font size. BUT, I will try to write down the names if I can from now on.
Sometimes I feel like 2/3'rds Rice Krispies. Past "Snap" and "Crackle" but just shy of "Pop"!

Hm, reply to the off topic comment:a fortune teller presumably tells you your fortune, or how your future will go. Suppose a that a fortune teller knows how your future will go. It's still possible that he or she doesn't know your credit card number. After all, whether your future will go well or not does not imply anything about what your credit card number is.

On a regular basis, I take it unto myself, to get the persons name if they are breaking a rule, and warn them personally through global chat (and very often make it a point to use as much of their in-game name as possible to ensure no misidentification happens).
I by no means consider myself an admin, nor wish to bypass their almighty banhammer power; I just like to think that some people don't quite know all of the rules (I have been guilty of not actually look at the loading screen rules on other servers), and give them the benefit of the doubt. I sternly, but clearly, inform them of what it is they were doing, and that it is against the server rules.
After that I keep track of that person from that point on, as much as I can, through my normal gameplay. Usually, if that person persists, is blatantly disregarding the rules, or responds in way that clearly shows the intention of blatantly disreguarding the rules, then I report the person through TS.
But that's just my personal SOP for dealing with players in-game.Focused

If you report someone in chat, make sure you get the BEGINNING of their name and then enough afterward to distinguish them from someone else. Reason being is that the admin tool alphabetically lists all the players. If you report Santa for bunny hopping, thats not enough. I will look at the S's and not find Santa. However, if you put |TG-7th|Santa i would be able to find it quickly.
Phoenixx's way of going about things is great. The more players that can help police the server, the better. Most pubbies simply dont know we have bunny hopping or other rules, so a quick reminder can solve the problem. If i see that in chat i usually back it up with a warning of my own anyway.

I really don't have any problems with the admins. Any time I needed one (not often) and Santa wasn't already kicking everyone left and right.... It only took a few minuets to track one down to solve the problem.
Any one who thinks the admins are not doing their jobs .... just want instant gratification and are not willing to contribute any time to help.
Any admin who fells the weight of (idiot) complaints can come talk to me. I will tell you how your server is really run. Should make you fell better about it then.
