Re: CO Position in POE
Hey, Thanks!
Yeah, if the ability to communicate verbally is given to those in a squad, the ability to have sit awarness (H.U.D dots) of your teamates should come with it.
The lone wolfs should not only not be able to talk to others but also be unaware of what the team is doing.
speak no eveil
hear no evil
and see no evil
Thus creating the importance of joining a squad with more than just one player in it.
_______
Ways to get the CO more involved.
Bring back arty, but with a reload time that is 4xtimes longer than BF2. The CO should be able to do about 8-10 arty strikes per game.
Give them the ability to use U.A.V . 10x times the reload time of in BF2 (This equals to about three or four times it will be used per game). Also, there is a delay on when it starts. Basically, it takes like five minutes for it to go into action, not instant like in BF2.(PO3) Marcinko_R. (BF2 PR .509) Squad Member
(CPO) Marcinko_R. (BF2 PR .509) Squad Leader
(LCDR) Marcinko_R. (BF2 PR .509) Commander

Re: CO Position in POE
I like that setup for CO, SL, and SM, but I don't think it applies to certain situations. For example, I think bombers in aircraft need to be able to see all friendlies, not just the members of his squad, so that he doesn't drop death on another squad he can't see. The same can be true for choppers and arty. Should the players in these vehicles automatically get placed in a special squad that has direct comm with eachother and the CO, and can see all units on their map?
