I do find it frustrating when I unload a magazine on someone and all the bullets just happen to bend around them, then they just pop a single shot in my skull and I'm done. Although i think my problem might stem from lag. I don't think i've optimized network settings. I can certainly notice it when I play Source Engine games. My choke goes all the way in the 60s. The problem might just be a network issue.

I'd like to point out that shotguns are lethal in CQC. One shot kills in tight encounters are not at all uncommon. Although, I have emptied 4+ slugs into the backs of proned snipers to no effect before. But I chalk that up to lag.

But couple stealth with a timely smoke grenade and defending the bunkers on Fallen with the Benelli M4 is gravy. Add to that fixed MG positions for ranged encounters (where the shotgun comes up empty), and a good engineer is a force to be reckoned with. Only trouble is long reload times. I get caught performing a most untimely reload more often than I care to admit, lol.

Interesting. I NEVER get a single shot kill with the medic gun, and I play medic almost exclusively.

I share the OP's frustration. Time and time again, the same person kills me from a rediculous distance with a single shot. There has to be more to this.

My ping is always very low in the POE2 server. I wonder if my low ping is penalized by adding artificial lag to even out the balance, except that it's not as even as intended. If someone with a ping of 250 can single shot me with a ping of 20, there's something else going on.

you can buy hacks which are totally guaranteed tested as undetectable by p.b etc,they can vector in single shots on the move straight to the nut everytime. and regardless of any amount of skilled players,there are always cheats who will buy/exploit those and many many more hacks.

BUT, if someone were to use something like that here, they would have to be incredibly disciplined to avoid detection. I don't believe that anyone exists who is such a combination of lazy, inept, stupid, corrupt, deceitful -AND- clever, disciplined, skilled. THAT is why it doesn't happen. In simpler terms, those who are stupid enough to do it are not smart enough to hide it.

But again, if anyone does see anything truly suspicious, we will investigate and we will permanently ban anyone caught.

I would add that many have learned how to use not only the weapons, but the terrain to great effectiveness. Looking at the 2 photos at how PJ is using the terrain to his advantage. He will spot you first, and likely kill you without you ever seeing him. More than likely, he will also alert his team and you won't just have 1 gun trained on you, but 2 to 3 hitting you at the same time.

^^^ That is a big part of a lot of people who feel they got instant killed. Our weapons are very deadly but if you have a couple others aiming at you as well, you will go down faster than 5 cent whore on nickle night.

Sometimes though, its just a lag issue or crappy hit box detection. BF games are not really made well for Inf combat, but we did the best we could with it.

I hear ya Thiery, but as a defender, if your spotted at this point and the defense knows where you are collectively, your dead. On Offense, your not likely to see PJ until it's too late. He's just too darn sneaky!

I like to use mines and such to help in those situations, but everyone believes they are powerups, even experienced TG'ers

That pic is a great illustration of the need to come over a hill line very carfully. Jogging over a hill where the back drop is the sky will really get you in trouble.

I really agree with the latter part of this conversation. You cant control hitboxes or ping but you can control your placement in the world and your movement through it.

If youre like me then you need to think tactically about where you are and where the enemy is/ might be. Actively thinking about this will save your life a lot more times than being quicker on the draw will.

When you get better at tactical movement then you can start thinking about placing yourself in positions based on cover and your current weapons optimum range. Then you will be a killing machine.

(it never hurts to have a good medic next to you as well)

All that said I hope you (kings) and your freind will join us again and maybe join up with a few TG guys to see how we do it.

I didnt read all the responses hear but I get killed by single shots all the time and i cant say they are all sniper fire or shotgun. My challenges are shooting accurately while controlling the kick of the weapon. I have found that combination is enough right there to have a major effect on how many shots it takes me to kill someone. Then when I stopped to consider what the health is of the enemy I am shooting at, it gets pretty fuzzy. When I started playing it seem like everyone could kill me with one shot while I could unload 100 rounds into them to no effect but as I got better things have changed dramatically. So how anyone could step into this enviroment and draw conclusions from a few expierences, seems like quite a feat to me. When an expierenced player starts suspecting a cheater then I would be concerned.
