Re: BF2 Ported maps.
Thanks for the update. We'll wait until this question from that thread is answered and then we'll make whatever modifications are needed.
Ok went into Mods/POE on the server and located 4 md5 files.
bst_archive.md5
bst_archive_mod.md5
std_archive.md5
std_archive_mod.md5
Removed these 4 files from the server and restarted the server.
Loaded up Gulf of Oman and then tryed to join and found the same response.
Any more info you can give me would be great as I have alot of guys foaming at the bit to play these maps.

Re: BF2 Ported maps.
Thanks for the the update!
I'm looking forward to trying vanilla maps with POE2, especially Kubra Dam, FuShe, Mashtuur, Songhua and Sharqi.
I'm hoping the admins will be able to work them in if they deem it safe.
Now if only we could play some EF and AA maps...

A few people are playing Mashtuur right now if you want to hop on the POE server.

Re: BF2 Ported maps.
Yep. Load times are down significantly, and it was *very cool* to see pickup kits on Mashtuur, with no Radar/UAV.

Re: BF2 Ported maps.
Mash was good fun yesterday. It was actually nice to revisit the maps without all the nade spam.

Lack of nade spamming is great. If you guys have suggestions for pick up kits let me know.

Re: BF2 Ported maps.
We get some AA pickup kits on the traditional air-rape maps like Sharqi and Oman and those two will be much more likely to appear in the rotation.

I had a great time on the server last nite - Mashtuur with 2 UCB's and that extra Alley CP on the west side was a lot of fun. That was a super hectic battle and the game seemed to take 5 minutes to play. Songhua was another interesting one - UKR dominated mostly thanks to Santa stepping up as CO. I definitely want to give that some more playtime with 2 COs.
I for one am liking the new twists on the old maps - they're different enough (new/different CPs, new weapons, no radar/UAV, no grenade spamming) to have new dynamics in the strategies and tactics available, and spice up the map rotation very nicely.

Re: BF2 Ported maps.
Stalemate in particular is my fav for being redone. I toyed with changes on some of the others but really did not want to do anything too drastic.
