    noticed something

    I've noticed the POE server is unusually empty during the day. I normally jump on for a couple hours right after work and although there are fewer people on it seems to be a lot more fun. Does anyone else prefer a good 16vs16 infantry map over the usual 32vs32?

    Sambir 16, Dnister 16, Rolling Thunder 16 are all great "Small" maps.

    You'll be pleased to know that I accidentally gave everyone a double dose of Rivne 16 a couple of nights back. The server population was growing, and I was looking for a good 16-player map with room for growth, so I chose Rivne. Then, a few seconds before it started, I noticed that Rivne had played just one map before, and I was too late to stop it.

    It's a fun map.

    <3 Now just run it when I am on. Also the Rivne FL is very small and inf oriented and I highly recomend it. It takes place from the lumber mill to the grain mill to the barn behind it, to the next barn at the back of it, to the north village front, to the top of the north village. It is the only game mode that lets you fight in that north village which used to be a major flag point for 64 player in an earlier version.

    I would love to play more FL maps. Last week when the TG server was down, some of us went pubbin on another server running FL maps and it was a blast, until Spies came up.

    I dont know how they would work out with more than 20 players on. It would probably become a meatgrinder, or become an easy push out for one team.

    That's one of the reasons I jump to POE after some rounds of PR late at night (I'm mountain time) - the 16 player maps. Wouldn't have thought even rolling thunder would be good with 16 (or less), but its a blast.

    Rolling Thunder is my favorite map...however, on the 16 it is favored toward Ukraine since they are closer to the only flag you can take (is it the Train Depot?). Germany doesn't seem to have much of a chance, because they are further away from the flag. Is there anything that can be done about this imbalance?

    Yes, drive to the south over the bridge and flank the Ukraine side. Then take the flag and continuously reinforce your armor.

    Yea in testing we have that issue so we gave them arty. Trust me when i say it will clear the path for your tanks to cross the bridge!
