Jilted
Well, I've seen talk on this forum of how y'all wish pubbers would join squads populated with TG'ers so they can learn and participate in some real tactical gameplay. I'm a mediocre player who always tries to do the right thing and follow directions when I join a squad, and sometimes if I see a smaller squad that needs better numbers I'll leave a better, nicely run squad and join it just to help out.
Sometimes, though, TG'ers lock out squads and only let other TG'ers in, and kick others to make room. I know it's y'alls server and all but that kinda sux sometimes. Especially when there are fewer players in the server. I just got the boot from a squad that was then locked and filled with TG'ers. It is a pub server, after all. I felt a little jilted and just had to come here and whine about it. That's all.
Regardless, it's still fun as hell to play on y'alls server.

Re: Jilted
Pretty much the only reason this will occur is a specialty squad. You don't need six squad members for one Euro Tiger. Or if an in house squad is conducting their rally/training night, where they only want to play with each other to improve cohesion and work on tactics.
If you really feel there is abuse, such as three non-designated specialty squads, locked with only one man, then you should probably report it to an admin.

Re: Jilted
I kinda know what you mean. I've been part of a few squads that need to make room for TGers, but the TGers have always asked for volunteers to leave.... I'll wait a few secs, and if no one volunteers before me, I'll go join or make another squad, no prob, because, yeah, it's their server. This is kind of stupid, too, but I much prefer to volunteer rather being kicked from a squad... there's something to doing things of your own volition. For instance, I never feel jilted, lol...
It does kinda suck when you're having fun, but most everybody around here is pretty cool, whichever squad you're in. And remember, most importantly, that a squad on the TG server is NOT a pretty girl... no jiltyness allowed. And now we'll see if I get hit...

Re: Jilted
I think this usually happens when an inhouse squad happens to have 6 players on all at the same time. We like to play together, and for some of us the occasion to play together in a full squad is rare. So, we ask people to make room for one of our squad members.
I don't think I've ever seen a case where a nonTG member was kicked out of a squad to make room for a TG member in general. It's always been a noninhouse squad member (say of the 7th) whether or not a TG member for a 7th member. There's a difference between these two cases. The first one seems unmotivated, unless there was a problem with the player following orders. The second one seems to have a fair motivation, and one that's not meant to make others feel jilted.

Re: Jilted
Bummer - I was thinking this thread was gonna about the PoE2 dev

Anyway - I agree w/ what they said ^^^. We in the 12th will occasionally ask for volunteers to swap squads in order to make room for another 12th member, but it's not a nightly thing, as we definitely try to spread the love... Last night (Friday) for example, we were spread across several squads for four or five rounds... even spread across both teams. After a couple hours of that, we got together on the same squad to get in a few rounds together during primetime. So if you hopped in the server before 11pm, you would have played w/ us. If you hopped in after that, you may have been asked to leave. Rest assured, it's nothing personal!

Re: Jilted
Please don't be shy about putting a request in pub chat for the "TG squads" to share the love. We do like to group up when the opportunity arises, but we are quite happy to make mixed squads with people who have the right attitude. We are known to be real suckers for polite requests.

Re: Jilted
In my experience the 33rd regularly groups up into a full squad, and this is because we enjoy hanging out as much as we enjoy playing the game.
Sometimes this is done in a way that I know would be frustrating to me if I weren't involved, precisely for the reason that khaerus mentions of not even being given the opportunity to do things of your own volition. Often the squad will reform after a round without saying a word on VOIP.
Viper is the most rude of all. To make room he'll kick people during a round without telling them anything, let alone asking for volunteers. That's viper, all piss and vinegar.

Re: Jilted
I do understand why friends and people who have played on TG for awhile want to play in the same squad...I think it does make it more enjoyable and the squads are probably more effective in the game (on the whole). However, I too am sometimes frustated when kicked out of a squad or find myself kicked out of the game by the Admin. because the squad I was in no longer exists (nothing was said on VOIP), and I have no idea what happended. Then you have to reload and hope you get on the same team that you were playing on. I guess my only request would be that if TG's want to form new squads in the middle of a map or even ask people to leave...I understand that...just use VOIP and let us know so that we can jump on other squads. This may be happening most of the time...I just don't know for sure. This brings up another point...there are times when squads are locked or full and the only ones left are SL's that are not even giving orders and the squads are not (or rarely) using VOIP. I sometimes then start a new squad but people may not join it. I would almost rather play in my own squad then join a squad that is not working together. What fun is that? I'm assuming that it's o.k. to invite people to join my squad who are in squads but the squad is not functioning as a squad (i.e...no SL orders and VOIP is rarely used). Just thought I'd get everyone's opinion...

Re: Jilted
Well, I would hope that IHS SL's are asking for volunteers instead of just kicking non-IHS players. I know it sucks - I was one once that was sometimes asked to split - now they can't get rid of me. I certainly appreciate when a non-IHS player gives up his spot so I can join up with my IHS guys, it doesn't go unnoticed.
Sometimes we outright decide to start another IHS squad, so we can spred-th-luv with our non-IHS friends too!

Re: Jilted
1. Ask the current SL that is not giving orders to rejoin so someone else can SL. If no response try to explain in a quick friendly way why this will be beneficial.
2. If unsuccessful consider making your own squad called teamwork/voip/etc and announce that you will do so while in that previous squad. Usually a few will people will follow you...there is quite a few people out there that are fine with lonewolfing if they can't get into a squad using teamwork but once you show them another teamwork squad is open they will usually jump right in.
3. Don't hesitate to report SLers who do not do anything to admins. We would rather see this worked out by the players explaining where the player is going wrong but if they just don't get it don't worry about contacting an admin.
4. Admins are obviously not a fan of small squads but if I see a regular with a squad called teamwork or something similar than your not likely to see an admin take issue with the temp small squad. We understand the intent and support the idea. Of course if the squad just doesn't fill after a while it may be best to abandon the idea if another good squad has openings.|TG-12th|mantis

Re: Jilted
Agree. I think most players can understand that IHS's would occasionally like to stick together for a couple of rounds. I would even go as far as saying that I'm surprised it doesn't happen more. At no instance when playing at the TG server have I ever been kicked without being asked politely (well once from a non-TG clan...you know who you are......
), which I personally appreciate. So if they ask you to leave 'cause the need to make room for a squad mate, dont take it personally, join a new squad and have some fun!

Re: Jilted
Yes, 'zactly. For one thing you get exposed to a BIG variety of SL's.. and IHS SL's if you take the attitude that you might have to leave a squad if it seems dominated by a specific IHS. The IHS's are VERY different and a lot of fun to figure out as you go.
I also know that if you really want to stay with an IHS until the end of a round or something - they probably won't deny you that if you ask the SL if you can stay- they'll just ask the waiting IHS member to want until the round changes.. I know I don't mind... but sometimes I know it's because they like the non-IHS guy more than me
