What keeps a flag from turning?
Besides an enemy troop being nearby. Last week I was playing Highway to Hell, got to the town flag first, and could not get the flag to change for 1-2 minutes. I backed far away from the flag and it still did not matter. Did not see any enemy troops nearby. It completely changed the game as we ended up losing and were overwhelmed at the town. Happened tonight on another server. Any ideas? Could it just be a fluke?

There are two flag bugs I know of.
1. The flag will be turning in your favor but then stop right at the top of the pole...thus it stays neutral. The situation will not change until all friendlies get off the flag and then jump onto it again once you see it start going down.
2. Less common is one that will turn fully in your favor(the flag shows your symbol and its all the way up) but on the minimap and in the coding the flag will still belong to the defenders and they can still spawn there. The only way to break this is the defenders(who shouldn't have a flag) have to get on it and turn it neutral. Some people are evil/smart and will let the flag stay bugged because the only way to undo the bug is the enemy team has to change it back white...until that happens...you'll never have the flag.Last edited by FBmantis; 06-05-2007 at 04:17 AM. I have noticed it in Conquest mode, as opposed to Nuke or Frontlines.

I was thinking he might of been on a frontline map.I've seen people get confused easily when the rotation switches game modes.I've only seen the flag issues that Mantis pointed out.

I only play on the conquest mode. It does not happen very often...so it's not a huge deal to me, but I was just curious to see if others have had this problem as well.
