The change took place because you could never chat in game...the second you put down some text it was gone 2 secs later from automated text spam. There are a few like Requesting orders that should come back tho.
If you press the ` key it shows the chatlog in the top left
I would, while simultaneously talking on the phone and petting my dog and eating mac'n'cheese and touching myself inappropriately, but my chopper k/d ratios can certainly take it at this point.
The mini-map displays all the info you need minus the players name. If a player needs ammo, give em ammo. It shouldn't matter who is asking. All the text spam did was clutter up the left side of the screen and make it impossible to see any useful info that might have popped up there.
I wouldn't mind seeing the voice spam go as well. It just gets really annoying and I tend to ignore it too. It should be like voip, where only squad members are heard, unless you are the SL, who would also hear the commander's voice cues.
I want a patch where all the voices are replaced with the voice of that hot British chick from the Orbit gum commercials. I would pay attention more. Or even better yet, replace them with the voices of college sorority girls:
"Like, OMG, there's a guy over there!"
"Like, I totally need some more bullets for my gun!"
"Like, whoever comes to revive me will be my BFF!"
Crimea appears to be unbalanced in the larger size maps.
The US gets the Arty and the helo to help the assult. The other side only gets a heavy tank and a SAM pick-up kit. The helo dominates the map if the pilot keeps back and takes out the armor first and then moves in to attak flags only when helping a squad. The Ukraine is unable to defeat the helo and can't group up too much or the arty takes them out.
Ukraine needs a few AA sites, mobile SAM unit or a bunch more pick up kits. Or of course you can delete the helo.
I really disagree as I have had no problems taking out players in the cobra with the Sa7. If the cobra goes to high in the air, the flak should be ripping it to shreads as well.
Honestly right now I see this map going both ways with extreme calls in either directions. I get a lot of comments about how the USMC cant even get a flag and spends the whole round dead in the water while others feel the USMC dominates and crushes poor Ukraine.
I was playing Blue Nile on another server (because, you know, TG was at 62 players...) and it was just a total rapefest with the helo on one side and not the other. Even with all the Shikas... you get a halfway decent helo pilot, especially as a squad leader, and he's able to drop squadmates all over the map, into every flag, and the enemy team can't move quick enough to re-cap if their flag defense is taken out/softened up by the helo first.
Maybe it was just a matter of poor teamwork on that server, because I seemed to be the only person doing anything about the helo (grabbing the AA kit, rolling the Shika out of the bases, etc)... but TG isn't the only server that it's played on, so you might need to look at that map from that perspective. The ability to have an airborne spawn point on one side may imbalance that map.

As I've seen it, this map depends on having one solid squad which knows about the importance of the back flag and the pickup kit. If the Ukraine side has that, and they are able to control the back flag and keep the kit in play, then they have a good chance of winning.
It reminds me of Sharqi in the way it plays.
I would like to see the huge respawn timer on the SA-7 reduced though. I got TK'd shortly after picking it up by a guy who shall remain anonymous, and we had to wait a very long time before we had any way to back the chopper off. Way to go Shakey.

Gonna leak a tad here but in our next patch the kit has been moved into the main base and has a shorter time to respawn.

Blue Nile is a 32 player map. It is a port from our BFV days when all the maps were made for around 32 players.
Bravo Microsoft, you have now surpassed EA in poor decisions and once and for all seized the crown for the worst 'Reveal' ever. That EA were standing there on the stage with you when you did it was...

It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
