PoE:2 News #109 - 1.8 Release Friday @ 7PMEST
Welcome to our 109th newspost.
POE has been hard at work over the last couple weeks, compiling and implementing the suggestions we received after our 1.7 release. We appreciate all of the feedback our fans have provided to help us make this mod even better. We are now ready to unveil our 1.8 patch. This release includes hundreds of tweaks to weapon systems, vehicle handling suggestions, drastically improved map load times, and some new coop support.
We invite you to our client file release Friday August 10th at 7PM EST,
this release will include a 80mb 1.7-1.8 patch and a full new 1.8 version!
Our server release will come in two flavors this time. With and without our statistics package ( http://www.poestats.com ).
Please be advised that this is a full server release.

Mantis notes:
- The server lag hopefully will be fixed. This is why all the "removed old arty objects " was there...leftover code was believe to be causing trouble.
- Odessa will be more playable. Expect low fps still but hopefully not much stuttering.
- Operation Acorn is brighter now.
- Note the Spies Like Us change. Hopefully third time is the charm for this map.
- Note the increase AA on Crimea.|TG-12th|mantis

Nice work, no wrench on nuke objective, about time, and the FK20 is'nt going to be the uber helo destroyer anymore

So I see they are nerfing the Sokol, I'd like to think I had something to do with that.
All in all I have loved the 1.7 update and looking at these changes I look forward to 1.8 as well. Time to adapt.
