I just reinstalled PR and patched it up to 0.61, when I try to connect to a server (internet or local) it will start to load the map and then crash to the desktop. Does anyone know why, and how it can be stopped? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

You may benefit from manually updating PunkBuster (BF2) Player Client Files.

You can find out how to do this at their website (I can't post a URL until I have 15 posts...)

Hopefully that stops the CTDs.

If PB doesnt solve it (Which it should)...

Video drivers. Audio Drivers. Windows Updates.

On window update tuesdays, no matter what I did IE7 WOULD NOT WORK until I installed the new updates. It was quite vicious.

Anyways,to Westy. This used to happen to me all the time. I manually updated PB about 98 times (it usually fixed it for about a day),and it quit doing it in about a week. I dont know if PB had anything to do with it,but thats just what happened on my part.

I get this all the time, usually only after 2 or 3 maps.

To manually update pb, is that using the .exe or downloading and copying files manually

Lol, you still getting that from trying to recreate my problem? I too am still suffering from this, but it keeps me from being kicked for a supporting member during the round, so I don't really care.

This did not happen with the Pirates mod, so it 's definitely PR.

I clickied and runnied that thingy (add game, BF2, check for updates, right?) and it still didn't work. I just tried that again and am gonna go see if it worked this time.

Might be a dumb question but have you installed in this order?

- BF2
- BF2 patch 1.41
- PR 0.60
- PR patch 0.61

If you did you can always try to uninstall PR, delete the 'PR' folder under the C:\Program Files\EA Gays\Battlefield 2\mods and download and install the full PR 0.61 which can be found here
