You could just buy a cheap pc and run it on low settings. I used to play with half a gig and a 8500le

If you take a positive from this, you wont suffer any further depreciation on your money/pc
The 9800 nvidia cards are out in jan along with penryn cpu from intel, all other prices will shift downwards at that time whereas bf2 will stay at the same system requirements

I'm building a computer for my mom right now, AMD 4400+ system with everything but the power supply, dvd drive, monitor and vid card for $300. Throw in an 8800gt and a 17 inch flat-panel and its about $680, or cheaper if you have an old monitor or case lying around (you can always upgrade those later). Or just wait until black Friday, look in the newspaper for something nice and cheap. All you have to do is camp outside Bestbuy for the night, I'm gonna take shifts with some friends and get myself a new monitor
