How barbed wire seems to destroy helicopters instantly on the slightest contact.

Laying on the crest of a hill, seeing the enemy, firing, retreating to hide behind the crest, you think you're safe, and then boom, a bullet magically goes through the hill. You're dead.

^^ I call that the glass top mountain effect, on kashan especially you appear to be floating 10 feet in the air if you carefully crawl to the top of a peak. Incredibly obvious to that allready perfectly scoped tank, etc

You should give yourself a solid backdrop, I dont think anyone can see through multiple peaks but if the sky is behind you only then your in trouble

Yes the helipads are funny in bf2 and pr continues this idea of surrounding a landing area with an assortment of traps and obstacles to test pilot ability

I'll add one of my own, players who ask for a medic half a dozen times while standing next to a bunker.

Re: pet peeves of pr

Nice! Got plenty of 'em

1. Running

2. Having to run all the map to get killed - repeat - repeat - repeat - Me: "maybe you should set a rally point?" SL: "I can't if I don't have 2 SM with me, so stick with me" "Stop running all the map and hold on spawn then!?" silence - repeat -

3. Having my SL give me the same order 2-3 times without ever noticing I said "copy that" and been doing it for 60sec

4. Playing SL musical chair

5. Since I'm REALLY not the best SL (I still have a lot to learn on bf tactics), having SM not listening, kicking them after 2-3 warnings and joining back to ask "why d'you kick me?"

6. Being killed on spawn!

7. Me: "Tango NE 365" Someone: "Tango NE 360" Someone else: "Getting fire from NE!" SL: "Where? What bearing? Stick to me!" Me: "Nevermind, we're all dead"

8. Having a squad that has the best "spacing"(read sarcasm) ever: one member in each corner of the map, a sniper, a spec ops near OUR main with already two locked squads "SNIPER/SPEC OPS" and two/four guys desperetely crying for their kits...

9. Transport squad and infantry squad with both a tank and our ARMOUR squad running across no-man's land (most of the time on Kashan)

10. Did I say killed on spawn?

11. Defending a flag in the forest, sniper kit in hand, on top of a hill with the best view ever, having reaped a whole squad coming in for attack (having spot them, told my SL, spotted their RP) and my SL yelling on VOIP "What are you doing? We need to defend the flag!"

12. Being a SL and having to change my objective every two seconds with CO's order. "Head North" Me: "Copy that" "Alright guys CO wants us to head north" - running - Co:"Head South" - refusing - "Head south please!" Me: "Copy that" "Alright guys CO wants us to head south" - weird laugh - running

13. Two ammo guys in squad, being a LAT... SM:"APC N75" Me: "Copy that, moving to get visual" SM:"APC N75 guys, guys, APC N75" Me: "Almost there" - first shot, right on, didn't saw me shoot, still looking elsewhere after shot - Me: "Hit(or miss, doesn't matter), Need ammo" SM (w/ ammo): "Can someone get that stupid APC!!!!" Me:"I just hit him once, need ammo" other SM(over me):"Yeah, the APC is still there man, we need to do something, what do you think? What's next? We got to take out that APC, is right N75, not moving, nice clean shot here, we should get a LAT kit" SL:"Can someone grab a LAT kit at RP to get that APC" Me:"Lost visual, needed ammo for second shot, thanks guys, does someone else want a LAT kit, I've had enough of this?" SL:"Yeah we need a LAT kit, grab one" Me laughing...

It feels great now Ready to play another 2-3 weeks!

Ugh I cannot agree with you more. It's even worse when they stay in your squad and completely disregard orders and go around trying too shoot people while getting angry because they can't hit anything. Thankfully there exists a kick button

Can also be because of the hitbox lag. So many times I've ducked and think I'm safe only to die a couple of a hundred seconds later. Wouldn't think it's noticeable but when your focusing on getting into cover it's really annoying.

Same thing with retreating round corners. You think you've just made it then die.

Re: pet peeves of pr

1. Prone spammers

2. Bunny hoppers (seriously, jump height&distance need to be tweaked)

3. Solo armor camping on top of the highest mountain in the map

4. Lone wolfs

5. Jets, jets and jets

And people who b*tch, that teh USMCz and teh Br1t1sh need the newest bestest uber mega sniper/vehicle/weapon etc.

Especially ones, that suggest stuff US/GB should get on PR maps - "Yeah like Foolz Road need the Merlin and a C2..and a..Littlebird..and and and an Apache...becuz they gits them in the r34l life...and Jabal defo needs a Super Cobra, because it's too hard to win the map when I'm lonewolfing with my M14 (omg bbq best sniper rifle evar sauce)."
And give the MEC "teh AKz cuz dere teh Arabz and it's accuracy should be crap, so I doeznt get killed with mah L85/M16A4"

No offence, but I'm getting tired of these suggestions all the time.

Re: pet peeves of pr

Squads that do not know how to defend and leave a CP before it's secure and then get pissed that we lose it almost immediately and THEY can't assault the next flag because of their own impatience. Quite a few well known regulars on the TG server do this still.

When people spawn on a bunker/firebase in or near a CP that is neutral and they don't even stick around to help cap it.

Anyone who is one manning an APC or Tank that is not taking it to get repaired or pick up a crewman or because no one wants to join their squad and help and is just doing it because that's what they did in Vanilla.

These new ammo packs suck. Anything that can't even rearm a single mine is worthless. It takes two to four (depending on the day) ammo packs (after recharging the rifleman's ammo pack) to reload a single mine for an engineer. Grrr, make the damn non-scoped rifleman's ammo pack more beefy than the scoped rifleman's ammo back.

Rampant headshots and the state of super laser accurate rifles as of late.

Oh and...the flawed severity of the hitbox detection.

Re: pet peeves of pr

that itchy burning feeling you get between your boots after going into the water and then out on dry land.

people who take kits without asking the SL for permission.

choppers that just fly around or try to land on vehicles.

choppers that must land in a hot zone and then the pilots who complain when after they were shot down that no one gave the chopper covering fire.

chat spammers (jctango thats you my friend! jk), seriously chat spammers.

engineers who are nearby but instead of fixing a hit apc or tank get a kit and leave instead.

one man tow's or squads that use a tow and don't have any engineers and then complain on team chat how they need repairs and why no one can get to them etc etc etc.

my last pet peeve, is all this talk about muttrah city coming in the next patch or level and yet its not there.............grrr

Re: pet peeves of pr

Pilots who fly their little-bird and hover around a squad who is trying to be as stealthy as possible. If a squad does not hop in your chopper, that's a sign to fly away. Seriously hovering there and making us tell you in team chat to go away is a very smacktard-ish thing to do.

Re: pet peeves of pr

-when i revive someone and they dont follow me to cover to get healed.
-when I am huddled up healing my squad member and some medic far from his squad begins attracting grenades in an attempt to gain some healing points.
- how hilltops are invisible from a distance like in kashan
- how you can land loads of shots near an enemy before he sees you which should make it impossible for him to aim correctly yet he turns around and shoots you in 1 or 2 shots.
- when I say something to the SL over VOIP about something important that i've spotted (tank, enemy bunker, etc) and then 3 mins later they restate it as though very surprised.
-WHEN COMMANDERS DONT HAVE VOIP AND TYPE LIKE THIS THE ENTIRE GAME!!!!
