Re: PR Dev Journal.
Jets are not finalized, and are VERY subject to change.

Re: PR Dev Journal.
Behold! The mighty wiki.
The A-10 is armed with...
2x 500lb Mk-82 bombs (In real life these are dumb bombs, but in PR, they act like JDAMs)
4x AGM-65 Maverick Laser Guided Missiles
14x Hydra-70 Rockets
2x AIM-9 Sidewinder Heat Seeking missile

Mind you, all the stuff posted in that Wiki is already IN the game. And yes, the missiles do rock.
Liquid, I think Skud has the right answer to your question and that is that the jets are still changing alot, so nothing's for sure.

Re: PR Dev Journal.
Yeah, i noticed. I just wanted to know what ordnance so i can compare so its no big deal. In my speculations, the Jdam now is a 2000 pounder as you can see in the videos. BTW if we already have mavericks in currently than all there is to the new one is a new skin/texture, unless I'm wrong about this and its just a updated type (A,G, and K versions). Thx for the wiki waldo, should've went there first...

I dont really fly the A10 but if the 500lb is guided in with laser designator whats the difference to the Maverick, can it be guided by the a10 itself?
The heat seeking missiles are on the attack helis too. When we had them on basra you could mark targets for destruction with insurgent molotov cocktail.
I want to see officers given flares partly for this reason

As far as i know, they both have different weights and slight different purposes. The maverick weighs 125lbs and has a longer range than the mk 500lb

In real life, the Maverick's are actually controlled by the pilot himself, using the in-cockpit MFD.
The AGM-65"A" variant has an optical sensor (up to 4x magnification, if I recall correctly) in the head that transfers the image to the MFD, in which you manually slew a target reticule to lock a target at up to the max locking distance for the ordinance (cant remember the distance in NM off the tope off my head).
The AGM-65"G" variant has an IR sensor head with a higher magnification, and is (obviously) much more suited for nightime, or poor visibilty (fog, cloud, smoke, etc.) environments.
(someone might fact check me on the variants, because I might be mistaking the A for G , and G for K, shifted over one model )
Also, in real life, the typically used MK-82 (or 84) that have the JDAM attached are still limited to a relatively short range to drop, due to the fact that they are not propelled, even when "lobbed" into a target zone. Whereas the AGM-65 is propelled and allows the pilot to engage a target at a much greater distance without actually entering a certain radius around the target.

Re: PR Dev Journal.
Looking good.
I hope they fix the binoc 's HUD, it looks like crap on widescreen resolution because it doesn't fill the entire screen.
PS: I noticed that there 's a stress test going on right now (the entire weekend). Lets hope they don't find too many bugs so we can start playing 0.8 soon.
PPS: We 're gonna get owned by the 6th with the new release.
